Most of the time these 'up to' sales are pretty useless, but there are a few reasonable deals here on cookware and knife sets.

    Negging for the bullsh!t RRP.

Plus the knife set is the same price elsewhere. Eg. Catch or ebay

  • I want a Wusthof knife set… $180 more expensive through House. No deal here

Most of their items are available on their eBay Store and use "PASSIONATE" for 20% further off.

Baccarat Stone 10 piece cookware set for $239.99

    • Yep I got this set https://www.house.com.au/product/baccarat-damashiro-shi-knif… for $240 from ebay using PASSIONATE, then paid using the 10% off paypal vouchers from a previous deal so effectively got it for (insert yr6 maths) $216

      • I like this set, saw them in store. The only concern I have is about the hardness, the reason to buy Japanese knives is because they are hard and razor sharp. I'm concerned these are made of Japanese steel in china.

What do you think of them?

        • I only buy valyrian steel knives and swords

Your right!! I looked into these a while ago. They are a sub-quality knife with fake damaskas patterns trying to fool people to like they are better then they are. If you want a Japanese Knife at a reasonable price, get a set of Globals. Great steel, great knife, only issue Is the awkward handles for people with big hands.

          • @Gatto: How well do the small Globals cut into tomatoes Gatto?
I've heard people say they don't always do well in this particular aspect.
(I prefer to use a serrated bread or actual tomato knife myself).

@[Deactivated]: I agree, a serrated knife would better suit cutting tomatoes (especially if they are already soft). The 15cm utility knife does a decent job, however it can sometimes take more then 1 slice to "break through the skin".

              • @Gatto: Yes, I think the larger Globals are quite good, but for some reason the small ones… not so good.
(Many thanks for your confirmation & response).

      A lot better than OP's.

  • They're now priced at about what they're worth

This is House/Robins Kitchen own brand. They overinflate the RRP’s to feed their seemingly perpetual high percentage off sales.

  • Lol $999 for a set of home brand knives. Fake RRP!!!

  • Surprisingly this tactic works in the shops. I always see people inside the House store. We must be suckers us humans ;-)

They will stop the tactic when it no longer works.

OP tried. They just weren't aware of the other sales and company strategies.
