Strange, I've had F&P in my family for the last 15 years, never had many issues and their customer service were fine when called upon. But maybe I've been lucky.
same here… I've got an F&P fridge, oven, stove top… any issues they came and took a look at it and I'm NSW regional!! (although its about the same time to drive to the city as out west)
In saying that, I haven't had an F&P washing machine for about 25 years… they were a bit crap last century. My Stirling from 2009 is still going strong!!! go ALDI!

Friend has this machine and it is SO noisy when it spins. It also takes forever to complete a wash (15 minute cycle is more like 30 mins).
Definitely an issue with leveling as I experienced the same. After adjustment of the leveling screws the noise was gone.
I agree the cycle times are not accurate, but don't exceed beyond a few minutes, in my experience.
Friend hasn't set it up properly or something faulty. It's extremely quiet
I have this exact machine and I disagree with the noise… This machine is whisper quiet. I will agree that the countdown timer is not accurate. our usual 59 minute cycle usually lasts 70 - 80mins.
yup that too, takes a little longer than the timer.
LOL @ the above comment… it takes 'FOREVER' … 30 mins is forever?? who washes for less than that?

I purchased this same machine in may 2017 from Appliances online. Last october the machine suddenly started big rattling noise when spinning, Fisher and paykal tech replaced the suspensions in November, after that it worked very quiet for 2months and again it started making big rattling noise and i asked for refund but fisher and paykal said they have to diagnostic the machine again to determine they can replace the machine or refund. I already spend 4hrs, once when tech came to inspect the machine, then they replaced the parts and now again i have to spend 2hrs, which i found not worth it.
I don't know its my machine or all machines have same rattling noise? My machine counter is not accurate too, it says 10mins left to finish but it take 20mins to finish the washing cycle, but its not a big issue for us. For us thebig issue is rattling sound, which wakes the little baby.
For the price close to $500 i purchased this machine is not bad but i don't know which machine is good nowadays. Anyone here can give me a suggestion.
Sample size of one, but I had major issues with a Samsung front loader. My next machine will be a Miele.
i had the same it's the spindel that holds the cage to the machine basically melts away after a few years. This machine is awesome can't hear it and just runs
Be careful with this Company. The delivered a fridge to our house and while moving the fridge, they damaged our floor. Customer service is bad and do not want to entertain us until we complain further higher up the rank. Back and forth and basically they do not want to fix the damages. I am heading to ACCC to complain.
Just a note to everyone - be careful with this company. It may seems to be a deal but with bulky white goods they may cause damage to your property while delivering it. It is time consuming to get this fix but I can't let them go away for damaging my property.
Seriously never buy Fisher and Paykel, you only have to do limited research on their customer service to know it's as really bad idea
