Got my Letterbox Deals flyer in the mail today and there was an ad for $20 off $50 for new customers.

Check to see if shipping is free or not. Pet Food covers dog and cat food. Not sure about other animals. :)

via an OzBargain member: if your basket is over $50 and doesn't show the -$20 discount on your basket page, the deal link may have expired recently but there is an easy fix, simply click through deal again but before entering your details again change the end of the URL from /letterbox7/ to /letterbox8/ and upwards successively until the number is too high and shows an error page. the number just below the number that errors is the current deal and will work :) -note that your order will likely be cancelled if you create a 2nd account for this deal and use the same household address/possibly also if using same paypal. Be creative :) - Be sure to check price history and compare what you pay as it might not be cheapest even with the $20 discount. - BE SURE TO SELECT ONCE ONLY in your cart as it will switch it to be repeat delivery. - If you are paying by PayPal, they automatically send you a recurring payment agreement, you can cancel via - PayPal-Settings-Payment-Manage Automatic Payments.

    I use Pet Circle when I can as I find their pricing is generally better than the other big online pet retailers.
    Plus, you can email them to price match a lot of the time. (for anything thinking of signing up for this)

  • Watch out, default ordering seems to be automatic repeat order!

    • Bastards - $20 discount showed in the cart but they charged my Paypal the full amount!

      • My paypal was only charged the discounted amount.

        I'm sure a call/email to support would sort it out

      • Happened to me too, it seems to link your delivery address / Paypal details with the existing account..it's smart so I won't bother chasing it up. Great deal for new customers though.

      For what its worth they give heaps of notice prior to shipping repeat orders including both SMS and Email. Gives you a few days at least to cancel or modify the order.

    Just ordered from them!
    Few things to note:
    1. They have a large variety of products and also good prices, but be sure to check price history and compare what you pay.
    2. BE SURE TO SELECT ONCE ONLY in your cart.
    3. If you are paying by PayPal, they automatically send you a recurring payment agreement and you have to cancel it by yourself (if you don't feel comfortable with that).

    P.s. Their customer service is AWESOME, I messed up with the delivery address, gave them a call, got a representative answering within 10 secs and problem solved smoothly :)

  • Had my order cancelled. Apparently I am in breach of the offers terms & conditions that it is only one use per household. Strange that I cannot find that condition actually listed on the terms and conditions. I'll take my business elsewhere now.

    • Yeah they really should limit the code to once per account at least like what most online shops do.

    • Strange, not working for me. I enter my details and then when I get to pay there is no discount applied.

      • I had the use another email address & create another account as I already have an account with them though to get it to work.

        • do you fill in the voucher form with your email before creating account or vice versa. i cant get the discount somehow.

  • I've bought from them a few times in the past and used the $20 off Letterbox coupon once. Never had an issue and fast delivery.

    Most recently I tried to submit an order using this deal (Letterbox deals) offer but it wouldn't work. I contacted their Live Chat Rep who told me it could only be redeemed once per household (fair enough). Instead (as many of us do), I trawled the internet and found a $10 off coupon and used that. Credit card charged on the same day of placing the order (Sunday).

    Three days later (Wednesday afternoon - order still hadn't been dispatched), I get an accusatory call from one of their Customer Service Agents saying I used a "scam" coupon and that I needed to pay an extra $10 or have the order cancelled. To make things worse, due to the time of day, the order had to be dispatched the following day (Thursday). I voiced my dissatisfaction that my order had been delayed and should have gone out on Monday (with the call should have been made then) and was told that the agent had to make a lot of these calls to people using "scam" coupons. I pointed out that their web store should be able to identify this and block these $10 coupons from being used more than once to which they clearly have an issue with people posting these publicly.

    I agreed to pay the extra $10 and then discovered they had charged my credit card $19.90 (instead of $10). Sent an email and got an apology and that the difference would be refunded. With other competitors pricing the pet food at a similar cost, this whole experience makes me think twice about buying from Pet Circle again, even if the price drops and is a bit cheaper.

    • I would have cancelled the order and buy from elsewhere. If transaction was processed, they should honor it but they also have right to cancel the order if it was not legit. Anyways, pet circle should have contacted you on Monday not Wednesday.

      Same thing happened to me. Got left a message saying I had to call them back otherwise they would cancel my order. Lodged a transaction dispute through my credit card company and they made pet circle refund me the transaction plus the interest that had accumulated on that transaction (even though the bank didn't charge me any interest). I shop else where now these clowns can keep their dog food.

    • Same! Though I'm a brand new customer and it's not working for me. Will call up their customer service tomorrow. Seems like letterbox 13 is the current one still.
