    off regular retail price only…

if it was off their sale price, i might vote +ve, but most of their bikes are way overpriced

    • Fair point, although it could be a good deal for higher end accessories like $500+ bike computer or lights.

Perhaps, but you'll probably still find them cheaper if you do some research…

These stores have really high margins… They are still making big $$ when they have 40-50% off…

    I agree with jv

    • "Blue Steel" lol… :P

      • I think that might actually be "Magnum"… Hard to tell without seeing the entire face - 80% just isn't enough.

Or did you think I was too stupid to know what a eugoogooly was?

  • bike stores are such a rip off that they can hold key realestate in brisbane.
[edit add: and yes, even the landlords probably rip them off, so they really must have huge margins).
I'm talking about the exclusive little grey street bike store in southbank..
the one at the normanby 5ways, the one at the new stanley/main rd intersection.
the newfarm bike store owners live in a mansion right on the river ffs!
seriously.. these guys charge more to service my bike then my mechanic to service my car.. with less energy spent.

if you go to this awesome 20% off sale make sure you take a phone with internet into the store so you can check wiggle and see just how much you are being ripped off. once you feel ripped off enough you'll do what I do.. by a few tools and youtube how to use them. It's not rocket science (yeah, when i was a kid it seemed like it!).

The only thing I really need now is a truing stand.

  • Terrible excuse for a sale. The original pricing on these bikes are so high, you'd think this was a Harvey Norman "sale".
