are they good? I mean will they work same as the standard oven?

I've got one of the larger 32L ones from Kogan and it does cook like a normal Convection oven. You'll have to give it a go a few times to make sure the temperature and timing is right for what you want to cook as i've had a few things that could have had an extra 5 minutes or so but I usually just go up 10 degrees and it's alright. They also have a cheap wire metal stand which is very fidgety. Even putting a pizza on a tray on top will cause it to jump around.

  • 900w seems a bit low?

that would be the output of the microwave, not the input or the power of the convection/grill elements

        Yes that's what I was commenting on…

For a plain microwave yeah, but convection microwaves have always been ~1000W. My 15yr old Sharp is 900W.

What is low is the price these days, they started at ~$600 only a few years ago.

  • K-mart has a 30L 1400w Convection oven for $129. https://www.kmart.com.au/product/30l-convection-microwave-ov… We have the previous K-mart model which looks similar to this Kogan. We payed $119. Great unit. Would definitely buy another.

    • The microwave output of that Kmart model is still only 900W.
