  • Just a quick question:

Some (many) USB-C devices don't have a built-in DAC for audio, and need any 3.5mm adapter to have a built-in DAC (e.g. Google Pixel phones). Does the adapter you linked here have a built-in DAC and/or do you know if it works with Google Pixel phones?

      hi HighAndDry,
      Thanks for your enquiry.
The USB C device doesn't support Google Pixel phones, and HTC/HTC11.

      • Nice looking adapter - very disappointed it doesn't support the google pixels.

        come back when it can.

  • any that works for ios devices? :S

    • Support IOS System 10 and Above, For iPhone XS Max XR X 10 8 7 Plus

I might buy one in preparation for upgrading from my iphone 6S. A few concerns though:

    • Does a device like this need MFI certification? has it got it?
    • "Note: This product does not support headset calls" Presumably that's bluetooth headsets while the adapter is connected?
    • Needs to be pretty tough or I could see lighting adapter being twisted off in the phone.
    • doesn't look like a lot of clearance for bulky cases or lighting cables. I'm currently using Kogan cables and they're huge compared to genuine or other third party

Tough crowd. Guess I should keep my thoughts and questions to myself.

      Dammit. Just did it again.

    • I think what they're saying is, buy first ask questions later.

Excellent questions though. Question 4 is the reason I'm not buying.

It doesn't support calls. Is there any that supports phone calls in the market?

    • Yes, the iphone version doesn't support fro now, only UBS C Version supports voice calling for now. May be later, i will recommend then.

      • Thank you. Looking forward to it.

  • That looks like one decent catch on something and goodbye lightning port..
