How to activate additional Public Cloud regions?

      Hello @Detective Pikachu,
      The Public Cloud solution brings much more features than this discontinued VPS deal, such as:
      scalability, snapshots, additional disks (triple replication), private network (vrack), etc.. and it is a pay-as-you-go solution.
      It gives the possibility to build infrastructures quickly and you can use the OpenStack horizon interface too and the OpenStack API to automate it.

      Regarding bandwidth, as mentionned in the post, each Public Cloud project includes a generous 1TB (1024GB) of outgoing public traffic per datacenter (i.e. 1TB for Sydney and 1TB for Singapore), which is renewed on a monthly basis. You may create up to 3 projects to start with. = up to 6TB offered.. In case you reach your monthly quota, each additional GB of outgoing public traffic is charged at a very competitive rate (A$ 0.11/GB) All other OVH datacenters in Europe and North America enjoy unlimited traffic at no additional charge.

        That's all well and good, but not everyone needs those extra features. So there will be those who prefer the old VPSes.

      Have a bare metal server as well as a VPS (the since discontinued ones) with them. Both are fantastic!

      Have 2 VPS with them. A bit of pain when signing up for the first time, gotta check this, verify that, etc. There was a communication break down with me at one stage, as they just kept silent. But eventually somebody picked it up, and got me over the line. Once there, everything is smooth since.

      After verfication, support so far is excellent.

      Looks like these are more planned for business though.

      7 months later - and quite happy. Network flakiness seems to have smoothed out. VPS platform is quite stable.

      I've had a lot of issues with the IPv4 address being very low reputation, am progressively working through getting reputation reviews etc.

    So that mean with B2-7 I get 2 CPU cores to myself??, no sharing of CPU?

      Yes on all our Guaranteed resources instances you get the RAM and CPU dedciated to you and 100% of the time. (no overallocation!)

      The 50% discount is recurrent and applied automatically when you opt for monthly billing at the creation of your virtual server.

          Hello Kogi, this is permanent.
          The monthly billing on Pubic cloud instances is simply 50% less expensive than a usage by the hour.
