      Very good pickup

Any of the Australian carriers and retailers set out in the below table, authorised by Samsung
to participate in this Promotion, but excludes the websites known as either: the “Samsung Staff
      Portal”; the “Samsung Education Store”
or the “Samsung Small to Medium Business Store”,

Yep not included…..I was about to order until I saw that. So I can pay $1499 for a 128GB S10+ on the retail store with a $249 gift, or save $225 on the education store on the phone price but no $249 gift. Looks like no actual benefit to going through education store in this case, which is a shame

        Yep a shame.

good for people who doesn't want the buds. Highly doubt you can resell the buds for $249, max you'd prob sell it for is $200.

        • +1

          agree

  • Main post now updated with all available options on the education store

    • Wow, no offers on the 128GB variant for the S10+? :(

      • $1274.15

      • +1

S10+ 128GB is only available for black, blue, white

        • just noticed 128GB S10+ option available once I changed to those colours. Post updated again.

          • @jaysimar: If you don't mind me asking, what is the date cut off for this pre-order?

            • @ThePriceMatchGuy: It doesn't say anything about the cutoff date on the website. I'm assuming it'll be like other retailers where preorders are open until the 7th of March

              • @jaysimar: sounds good, thank you. I commence a new role starting next Friday that has the 'edu.au' email at the end but retrieve the email next Thursday. Just wanted to know how long I had.

        • Do you mean black, green and white?

    good deal

  • +2

might be cheaper to NOT get from edu store if you want to earbud

    • +5

Might be cheaper to get from edu store if you want the bud.
Since there will be a heap of them flooding the market from people who got it from the promo. Will prob be able to get it for $200.

Preordering is not silly if you have the money and don't care. Only those that care say 'dont preorder' ppl need to stop telling others how to spend their money, why even care tbh.

    • +2

      Some people have money…..

    • +3

      Everything is relative.

A school student without a regular job might think a $450 Pocophone is silly but could easily pay $150 for a Redmi 6A.

A uni student with a part time job might think a $1349 S10 is silly but could easily pay $450 for a Pocophone.

A fresh uni graduate working as an investment analyst might think a $50,000 Vertu is silly but could easily buy a $1349 S10 for each hand, and a spare to keep in their car as a high-yield investment.

So to some people, $1349 really isn't a big deal at all.

  • Every time I got Samsung, they would 20% discount two month later…

    • +5

Considering the lifespan of a phone, 2 months is a long time.

You could just keep waiting for a bigger discount…

      • Sorry, really cannot agree this, I would expect to use a phone over 3yrs at least. 2/36 that's just a start

        • +4

          Thats fine.

The fact is that the phone is replaced in 12 months with a better model.

Waiting 2 months for a small discount is hardly worth it if you get to use the phone for 2 months.

The premium is to pay for the latest technology, if this isn't important I'm wondering why you need a Samsung S10, rather then an S8 or S9.

  • That fingerprint sensor on the power button is genius, same for the ultrasonic readers on the expensive models

    • +2

fingerprint on power button, like all those sony xperia phones?

      • I believe it's only a fingerprint scanner on power button for the s10e.
The rest of them have under the screen fingerprint scanners in about the same location as the old home buttons.

This is what I see my corp account

  • Damn how do I get one… I have a EDU email but it wont work.

    • Does it end with an .edu.au? Or gov.au? My gov didn't work but I also have a school's specific domain .edu.au which did work.

Do you guys know any stores that can price match the educational pricing? I want the earbuds as well. :)

    • Would 28 degrees Price Protection work for Education Store if eligible?

  • +3

    Nice don't need the buds!

  • +1

    Purchased S10+ 128GB for $1274.15 delivered.

    • Can I ask if the invoice mentions the Samsung Education store bit? Just wondering if it will affect my future price claim..

  • would anyone know whether once the pre-order period for the S10 finishes, if Samsung will still continue to offer these prices or go back up to retail price?

    • no idea but probably no buds?

    • Looks like prices are back to retail.

Scratch that. Need to login via the Portal not via Samsung Shop. Still 15% off but not all in stock.
