To be eligible for the offer, you must not have held a credit card issued directly by Amex Australia in the last 18 months. Note that you are eligible if you’ve held an Amex card issued by a bank or if you're an additional cardholder on someone else’s primary card account (including a corporate account).

- No annual fee
- Earn up to 1 Membership Rewards points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases.
- Smartphone Screen Insurance of up to $500 for screen repairs, twice a year, to your smartphone when you pay for your phone or contract with your card
- 0% p.a. on balance transfers for the first 12 months — A one-off credit plan establishment fee of 3% applies to any balances transferred.
- Buyers advantage, purchase protection, refund protection and online fraud protection.

Card is great if you’re just after Amex Offers (eg. theFork, The Iconic, Woolworths etc.) and accessing pre-sale concert tickets/entertainment lounges, whilst avoid paying an annual fee.

  • As someone who just paid $280 for a screen replacement this card seems like a good one to keep in the drawer with the $0 annual fee.

$50 on deliveroo seals the deal.

    • Don't forget the extra year of warranty you'll get as well

  • The Qantas American Express Discovery Card counts as "a credit card issued directly by Amex Australia".
    Is that right?

    • Yes.

  • Great deal. Better than the recent Coles no annual fee as it has lower interest rate of 14.99% vs 19.99%.
FYI, Must be Australian citizen over 18yo with annual income over $40K to qualify.

    • Can be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a current Business Long Stay Visa (subclass 457)

  • Can we use airport lounges with this?

    • That would be the ones with annual fees
