Fantastic Noodles 70 and 85g (Bigger Bowl) - $1 NSW/ACT (Don'T Know Where Else) COLES

230

Both the 75 and 85g Fantastic noodles are $1 at Coles. The bigger bowl is more of a bargain. Save 69c. Nice as a snack. Sorry about the small image, cut it out of the catalogue as the catalogue link was used in another deal.Don't know expiry or locations outside NSW/ACT, was available at my local Coles in the ACT.

    dude this is gross.

  • yes! study food to last me for the rest of the year!

  • just get migoreng in a cup!

    • Do they have that now?

      • Yep, they sure do…about four different brands in Woolies alone in fact! :o

Nothing beats old school Indomie Mie Goreng though, with a fried egg on top…scrum-didly-umptious! :)

      EATEN IN AUSTRALIA

    • So for those recommending alternate "Asian" ones, any "brands" to actually recommend given that I'm sure there are crap "Asian" brands too?

      • Look for ones made in Hong Kong, Japan or Korea and maybe Taiwan. You can find them in Asian supermarkets.

        • +3

There's also some good Thai ones too…the Mama brand has some nice flavours - Tom Yum & Creamy Shrimp TY are good!

There's some good Asian ones in the mainstream supermarkets too. Shin Ramen or Nissin in either pack or cup ain't too bad (Tonkatsu flavour is nice). There's also a Chinese brand (can't remember the name) in a slightly larger pack, only in two different flavours, Stewed Pork or Chicken Mushroom, that's pretty darn good…they used to be only in Woolies, but I see now Coles has them too, so it looks like people have picked up on them!

The gold mine is the Asian shops though, you're right there…they've taken the instant noodle to a whole new level! If you can get you hands on 'Ichiban Delicious' (don't let the name fool you, they're actually Taiwanese) these are the state of the art in instant noodle…complete with cooked meat in sauce sachet…let me tell you now, there is no finer instant noodle bowl in the known universe! :)

        BUY "SUJIMIN NOODLES"!

        100% MADE IN AUSTRALIA

Buy Noodles Made In Australia and help keep our jobs here!

And keep Food Safety at the forefront of your mind.

        • Actually, I do like a couple of the Suimin flavours! The 'braised beef', 'curried prawn' & 'prawn & chicken' are pretty nice! ;)

They also have a 'mie goreng' flavour now too!

Woolies had Suimin noodles for 75c each about a week ago!!! :D

        • +1

I also vote for Suimin. Didn't know they were australiam made, even more reason to buy em.

there sure are a lot of ramen snobs in this thread…

    • What a great idea for a website…CoffeeSnobs can get stuffed, RamenSnobs FTW! :)

  • For those curious about the better Asian brands you could get in Australia apart from those mentioned by StewBalls, just head to a random Asian grocery store, ask for Kung Shi Fu (aka Master Kung) or whatever Japanese or Korean brands they might have.

  • Personally I would prefer Mi Goreng or Asian noodles over these, but nevertheless still a deal.

    • lol what, mi goreng is asian

      • +2

        What he meant was

"Personally I would prefer Mi Goreng or just Asian noodles in general over these, but nevertheless still a deal."

But I'm so cool I didn't need someone to explain it for me.

  • I see it at this price all the time.
