      Comes with a software if you want to use it as stand alone access control otherwise for family use you dont need the CD .

    Why do you mention cards? Cards for what? its a touch pad operated door lock with backup mechanical key. Not a proximity card

      No, you will need to drill 2 holes if you wish to fit this door lock on your door.

    Just had a look at your other range….quite expensive as compared to what one would pay on eBay from Korea (e.g. for SHS-P718 or SHS-P728)

      These are not the same items, no English instructions, no warranty outside Korea and the mobile app will not with them as they are not English version.

    After a bit of reading it seem it need a few more holes before you can install this. Which is fine but if you ever change the lock you end up with extras few holes you don't need.

    Is there any similar smart lock like this one and just to replace the normal handle without drilling more holes?

    hmm I have been looking at a electronic door lock for a while now, do you have any ultra reliable ones that are proximity types, Like my car keys i don't have to get out of my pocket to start the car (IE not NFC where i need to be 20-30 cm to start it, more like a meter?

    the "Kwikset Kevo 2nd Gen" is supposed to be like that, but i've read heaps of bad reviews about reliability, mate even had one that he ended up replacing cause it was so bad…

      For reasons related to the battery life, we dont have a lock that will always have an active reader. I suggest reading through our website models for the Push-pull have motion detection that will enable the screen to use your card or place your fingerprint once you approach the door.

      It comes with an CD but not the CD Drive.
      With the CD you can install the software on to your computer.

    Do you have any digital smart locks that work with sliding doors? I believe it's a mortise lock, but not sure if all mortise locks work with sliding doors. Or what mortise means…

      Hi tbgoose,

      Unfortunately we don't have any digital smart locks that will work with the sliding door.
      Most smart locks require the swing door motion for the digital smart lock to lock.
      The SHS-7020 isn't a mortise lock but is a latch lock.
      The mortise lock a combination of both deadbolt and a latch to lock the door.

      The SHS-7020 is a latch lock and not a mortise lock.
      The mortise lock holes are normally quite big and spaced out apart where the holes on the SHS-7020 are not to far apart and quite small.

    My door currently has a 60mm backset.
    The specs says this lock requires a 70mm backset.
    Can this still be installed?
