Blackwolf Clearance Sale eg. Turbo 210 Lite Tent $327.19 (RRP $949.99), Luxe 250 Sleeping Bag $30 (RRP $249.99)

1840

Looks like some pretty good pricing on some decent gear. Credit to OP (adgnetworks) who got unpublished as didn't include any deals. Had a look and some great deals on tents, sleeping bags and bags. Checked pricing vs tentworld etc and significantly cheaper for tent and sleeping bag listed in title.

Eg.

Contour 28 Daypack https://www.blackwolf.com.au/store/packs-and-bags/daypacks--…

Looks like most of the good stuff is gone…

  • Still giving me a 500 error when logged in. Anyone found a workaround other than guest?

  • I'm getting an internal server error even without logging in…

  • Great deal thanks OP. I just ordered a backpack, worked fine.

  • -1

Which one is better: cedar breaks or grand teton travel packs?

    • I can't comment on the grand teton but used to have a cedar breaks 60L and loved it. The day pack is useful and has lots of pockets for storage.

  • Thanks OP. Just ordered a sleeping bag.

  • is the https://www.blackwolf.com.au/store/clearance/sleeping-bag-ca…

    verticallimit 950 goosedown?

on that site it doesnt say goosedown, but on this site
    http://www.equipoutdoors.co.nz/contents/en-us/p5376_Black_Wo…
    it says it is,

if they're different is it worthwhile/how much better off is the goosedown

    cheers

    • Says down on the specs?

      • it says 600+ loft power?
        is that goosedown

i dont know anything about sleeping bags btw. only know goosedown is warm
site seems to be down anyway

Synthetic is good too, and doesn’t require them to torture and kill a goose to make it!

  • are these available instore ?

    • The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

      :(

grabbed a micron 300 for $20.18 shipped, thanks.

    • Paid $22.37
Prices seem to jump all over the place. Same as mentioned with the bags in earlier comments posted

      • green still $22.37

      • Yeah they are flapping, I bought a second one for $22.

    • Got 2 x Micron 300 sleeping bags for $40.27 shipped. No email yet but did get order # on screen after payment.

      • When did you get that price? They are now sold out and not showing anymore. I got one for $23 last night but you got it 10% cheaper

        • Around 12:30pm. When I went back to write down the specs for my records, the green cheaper one disappeared, leaving just the blue. I may have bought the last 2..

  • +2

Their RRP tents seem horribly inflated compared to similar quality from coleman, oztrail.

    • +1

They are not similar quality, not even close!

      • So which one has higher quality?
        Thanks

  • I got a green micron 300, however now I’m thinking unless I go hiking in winter I’m going to be pretty hot as I’m a pretty hot sleeper! If anyone got the micron 150 and wants to swap, I would be open to considering swapping lol..

    • just keep the zip open on the side?

      • Haha, yes that’s what I’ll probably do but I remember as a kid I was very sweaty and hot even keeping legs outside the bag (which I thought was just a bad sleeping bag). So in retrospect I think a slightly less hot one would be ideal for me.

        • And it would be much much lighter to carry

  • My order got cancelled, lack of stock. I've called them and they've spent the entire day putting this fire out!

    • +2

      What did you order?

    • And when did you make the order?

      • +2

        this morning, 8:30am

        • Thanks. Some times they have moved back to full price and out of clearance like the red b-lite pack. I wonder if it was a mistake

          https://www.blackwolf.com.au/store/packs-and-bags/daypacks/t…

          • @Magicmagic: Yeah I wanted the b-lite to walk the Camino… To slow, I don't know how I missed the post earlier.

        • I ordered same at lunchtime today (it was updated to fly only) went through ok?

          • @DocC: I've cancelled my order as they've confirmed it's just a fly screen. It's not the tent itself.

            • @Rod911: Fair enough, I bought the turbo 240 twin tent figured this would be useful with it?

              • @DocC: Isn't it for the turbo lite plus 240 with basecamp addition - I believe the twin is a completely different structure?

                • @bargainshooter: Happy to be educated as have no idea, I went off post in this thread linking to snowys saying what I cut and pasted below: iit says the 240 “series” I figure extra fly less water issues and more shade. Never camped with family so have no jolly idea- if I’m wrong please correct me!

                  Base Camp Fly (Discontinued)

The Base Camp Fly is a large additional fly designed to provide the tent with a large enclosed front veranda.

This fly is very similar to the Super Fly however it is made from the “lite” material. The Base Camp Fly will only fit the following Turbo tents:

Turbo 240 Lite and Canvas series.
Turbo 300 Lite and Canvas series.
Turbo Lite 240 Plus (manufactured 2012 and after).
Turbo 240 Plus (manufactured 2012 and after).
Turbo Lite 300 Plus (manufactured 2012 and after)
Turbo 300 Plus (manufactured 2012 and after)
Note: Turbo Plus models manufactured prior to 2012 had a square-shaped pole over the extra room or “plus” section of the tent, the Base Camp Fly only fits the newer models with the rounded shape pole. Replacement poles are not available.

  • What does it mean by "TURBO 240 Lite Plus Basecamp Fly (Superseded Model) Fly ONLY - Tent Inner not included"? The link is called "turbo 240lite twin", which sounds like a different thing? Does it come with a tent for the price?

    https://www.blackwolf.com.au/store/clearance/clearance-tents…

    • I ordered that earlier and it didn't have the "Tent Inner not included" in the description. I thought I was purchasing the tent. I rang them about it and it looks like it'll only be some sort of fly screen and not the tent. I've got someone going to call me back. If it is just the fly screen and not the tent, then I'll be asking for a refund.

      • Called up about Turbo 240 too that I ordered yesterday, still havn't had a call.
        They must be so swamped.

        • Spoke to someone and confirmed that the item I bought was just a fly screen and not the tent. They are processing my refund.

          • @Rod911: Thanks. If that is the case, does not sound very cheap. RRP of $600+ for flyscreen only. very interesting. Hopefully no one just assume that it is a whole tent and have a big surprise during the camp.

            • @Tatagal: Going through the comments, looks like many people are buying the fly screen ONLY without knowing. Sounds like a downvote from my side.

        • It's called a fly - not a flyscreen - the fly is the material that goes over a basic tent structure that provides better water resistance/protection. Some flys can be set up on their own - just like a tarpaulin on ropes or a gazebo… This fly is purpose built for the Turbo 240 lite plus superseded model tent (which is OOS) with the basecamp screenroom addition (currently $76).

          • @bargainshooter: Pretty fly (for a white guy).

          • @bargainshooter: Useful on its own with 240 twin without screen room? Figure better water protection and shade?

            • +1

@DocC: Don't really know as the accessories are made to fit specific models. It's like getting a form fitting case for one dslr and hoping it may fit a different model with a thicker handgrip. I'd suggest calling them to confirm would be best and maybe share their response?.

    • +1

I think the basecamp is extension of the turbo tent and you can get the flyscreen kit on top of that to cover the extension.

  • +1

    haven't got confirmation email yet

    • +1

Spam already started and no progress not confirmation so far

    • Hmm whats interesting, yesterday I got excited when my History Order became "Completed" in a couple of my orders. Now it has returned to "In Progress"

    • Nup. Has anyone given them a call about the Progress status?

  • I wouldn't mind one of the Venus Day Packs however the photos/details don't include any info on the internals, materials, dimensions etc. It's hard to pull the trigger when it's essentially a lucky-dip even if the price seems very good. Cn't find any other details on the web either.

  • +3

sale has ended for most items. they are back to full price

  • My orders are still showing as in progress =/

  • Just got the following email response. At least they haven’t started cancelling orders.

“Thank you for your purchase during our BlackWolf warehouse sale!

Due to an unexpected volume of orders during our sale, we are experiencing a slight delay in delivery.

Our warehouse team are working tirelessly to get your order out to you as soon as we can! Your order will be on its way in no time.

    • I also received this email, but it was after I have already received the item.

      • Who did they use for delivery?

BTW i also got the email today…

        • +1

          StarTrack

Sigh, just received a refund for my order (Paid via PayPal). No email yet, and my order status us still "InProgress"

    • Waiting for that as well …

No confirmation email and still 'in progress'

    • Received the paypal refunds for my orders for a sleeping bag and pack. Disappointing…

      • After receiving the refund, I received an email saying it had been shipped, along with tracking details. Guess I’ll wait and see what happens

        • Does your tracking number work?

          • @Magicmagic: Not yet. Fingers crossed it does eventually.

            My order status says “Completed”

            • +1

@geech: I messaged Blackwolf and they replied.

              "Hi,

Unfortunately due to a technical error, the product you purchased oversold during our sale. As a result, we had to cancel and refund the order of this item. We apologise for this issue.

As a token of apology, please accept a 20% off discount using code BLACKWOLF20 to put towards your next online order with us.

              Our apologies once again.

              Regards"

This is rubbish as they still have the same product selling on their website but at full price. It is the red B-LITE 55 DAYPACK.

              • +1

@Magicmagic: That sux. My tracking started working, and says it was picked up around lunchtime today. Will wait and see whether it gets delivered, and whether it's actually my order that got sent.

I'll probably have to cancel my OzB account for this, but if it does end up being what I ordered I'll contact them to arrange to pay them the amount they refunded me.

                • @geech: That's very honest! I wonder how many people were refunded and then had their items sent

My first order for the Micron 300 sleeping bag was at 10.53pm Thursday night which was refunded without any postage email. Second order was for the b-lite bag on Friday morning which was refunded.

              • @Magicmagic:

…as they still have the same product selling on their website….

I'd push back on this - find the hierarchy and work your way up to the MD.

            • @geech: What did you order?

              • @Magicmagic: I ordered a Micron 300 sleeping bag, at around 10pm Thursday night

        • Free bag and pack….

  • +4

Oder delivered today, very happy with product and price. Thanks again OP and second OP!

  • Part of my order cancelled (backpack) due to no stock… But its in stock on the website. No shipping confirmation for my other purchases just yet.

    • same. blite55 and micron 300 cancelled.

not sure whats arriving this friday from the ozpost confirmation.

      • Some people got a refund and their items. You might be lucky!

    • Which one?

I bought a few packs. Not looking good…

      • Contour 28 day pack. Still for sale for $60 though so not really out of stock. I think it's more a case of not wanting to sell it for $8!

        • Oh wow, i didn't see any for $8. Must have been when they were dynamic. I paid around the $50 mark for others, so maybe i'll be ok.

  • +1

Order just got cancelled (tent and tent accessories @ like $800) - order was 28-Feb at 9:13 in the evening.

Paypal refund only so far, no email from black wolf.

Looks like they're still selling the product at full price though, which pisses me off. I'd understand back order or not selling the items any more, but having them for sale means they're just dodging the deal. Won't buy from them again.

    • Seems a bit hit and miss. I called to check and was told if I hadn't received a phone call that the order was fine. I just got an email saying one of my 3 orders is on its way. Will wait and see.

      • fair enough - no phone calls yet. the website seems to not respond once I've logged in - so I can't even see the order page.

    • My order was refunded Tuesday and I received an email the next day saying:

      Dear Customer,

Thank you for your purchase during our BlackWolf warehouse sale!

Unfortunately due to a technical error the B-Lite 55 Daypack product purchased in your order oversold during our sale. We deeply apologise for this issue and need to cancel and refund the order of this item.

As our sincerest apology, please accept a 20% off discount using code BLACKWOLF20 to put towards your next online order with us!

      Kind regards,

      BlackWolf team

    • Whoa which tent? I ordered a 300 lite on 28th night, gave them a call last wednesday and still waiting.

      • +2

it was the 240 lite twin.

I got an email yesterday saying a contour backpack (which I did not order) was oversold so they had to cancel the order.

I only ordered the 240 lite twin, the basecamp fly and basecamp screen, all of which are for sale again at full price.

I haven't tried calling, as it seems a bit pointless.

  • My money got 'refunded' for the blite 55l, except PayPal took a cut of that.

So I have effectively lost money because the Phoenix Lesuire Group breached a contract.

I'm considering a report to ACCC in addition to other action.

    • That's absolutely sh*t

      What was the PayPal charge?

  • +2

I made 2 separate orders around the time of my previous post and both got delivered today - the $8 backpack and the $55 one. Thanks OPs! 😊

    • Damn, I haven't even got a shipping notification yet

  • +1

My order was successfully delivered today, despite already receiving and email saying my order was cancelled as well as a full refund.

Seems they really did get overwhelmed with the volume of orders!

    • Did you get the refund?

      • +3

Yep, it was refunded via PayPal a day or so before I received an email saying it was cancelled. Already spoken to them about getting a PayPal invoice re-issued so I can pay
