  • How do these compare to the $40 Aldi ones

    • +1

      $60 aldi vacuum sealer?

      Aldi one is pretty basic.
Also, costco one has the hose attachment functionality to use with vacuum seal-able containers
(aldi one has a hole for the hose attachment but does not come with a hose attachment)

My aldi one's vacuum sealing chamber, the foam gasket around it, the glue has fallen off.
I've superglued it back on for now.

Sunbeam is supposed to be "commercial quality vacuum".
Sunbeam unit also has space for roll storage, removable drip tray

      Might just be marketing though.

      Regarding the rolls..

      Sunbeam
      Food Saver Rolls 28cm x 5.4m
      Warehouse Price $28.99
      Instant Saving $9.00
      YOUR COST $19.99

Aldi ones are $15 for 2 pk (same as costco), dimensions are 28cm x 5M
Past aldi posts have people raving on about the bags being high quality (compared to aliexpress/china bags).
Then there's this comment that claims you can get high quality rolls from Amazon
      Amazon Link Here

  • That's decent price for rolls…

  • I really love how costco print the amount of savings in big red
and print the actual price in small black
and they can do so and avoid all legal obligation by charging you a membership fee
so they can claim themselves a "private club", not a store open to public
such an American way to do business

    • All the pricing is available in the advertising; as opposed to the “up to x% amount discount” with some stores, that just means they won’t discount above that percent. The prices, also, aren’t inflated before the discount applies; what they have is usually the price in the store. If you don’t think you are getting value you can take it back and get your money back or even get a refund for your membership fee. I’ve certainly got my money’s worth from my Costco membership.

  • As mentioned above the Costco catalogue states that it is a 2 pack of rolls for $20, making it a reasonable deal.

Aldi one is $15 for 2 pk.
      2pk - 28cm x 5M

$5 for essentially 0.8M extra, assuming aldi and sunbeam bags are both of similar quality

      • making it a reasonable deal.

If cheaper than Aldi it would have made it to "good" deal classification
