  • Anyone know or use lots of different international sims if this is a cheaper option? I'm got the following countries to go to this year. Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, US (Hawaii) and possibly Philippines. I was thinking this 7GB might be good. Just seeing if $100 USD is cheaper than just buying local prepaid sim cards.

Btw OP when does the activation need to be made?

    • Do you have a phone with an esim?

      • Unfortunately not 😔 got an S9+

I received a free 100 mb kit while on the plane to Japan. It was 10 Gb for 10 USD after my free use was gone. However it says 70% off if you book 90 days ahead on the website so I'm guessing they will mail it to you. No problems at all just download app and follow instructions. They use the docomo network which worked pretty much everywhere.

Other option is $30-40 AUD sim from BIC camera.

      • Thanks that sounds good. Can you let me know the service which provides it or their site please? I think $10 for 10gb is already a better deal and hope I can find similar services for the rest of countries I'm hoping to visit.

  • If you fly through sunspots the star hub happy sim would cover you for all the countries you need. Around $35 for sim and some credit. To up with $10 every 4 months to keep the sun active.

i should have said singapore :) bloody typing on a phone

  • Im heading to NZ another 2 times in next 6 months. Ive got a dual sim phone so its probably just easier getting a $29 local SIM when im there with about 5GB each time.

    Unless theres a cheaper way?
