LG 31.5" MP58 Full HD IPS Monitor 32MP58HQ for $277 @ Harvey Norman

100

Great deal $277, compared to $399 at JB HiFi or $529 at LG

But keep in mind, the screen is quite reflective if you have background lightening or windows. Plus the frame is glossy.

    1080P, deal breaker?

Could be for some, although depends on usage.

But from price point, it's a good deal.

      • Would only be good if you are sitting really far back. At this size it's better used a tv monitor rather than PC monitor.

    • Definitely is for me. Even on a 27" monitor 1080p looks grainy at normal viewing distances.

    • Probably wouldn't be too bad if it was part of a triple screen set up.

$249 at MSY (as mentioned in other related post).
    Harvey Norman are rarely cheaper.
Make sure to use staticice and check eBay sellers (and any promo codes) before supporting Mr GST.

Gerry Harvey is not Mr GST, John Howard is. Gerry is Mr Zero Low Value Import Threshold.

  • I got a 32" ASUS Rog Monitor at 1440p and I find that awfully grainy. Only use it as second display anyway.

I would have been tempted to get something like this for my parents originally but I reckon 1440p is a minimum even for them at this size. If you are far enough back maybe I can make an exception….

For this price I'd be looking at the AOC Q3279VWFD8, same size and IPS, but it's 1440p and has freesync (75hz). Can pick one up around $280 delivered during an eBay sale, I have two of them and they've been excellent.

  • I got this for $281 at JBHiFi in Sydney about 3 weeks ago (20% off LG monitors but they shaved more off the price).
I use it mainly for PS4 and movies via the laptop, for which it is awesome. On this screen size, 1080p is more than enough.

  • No deal.

As mentioned above AOC Q3279VWFD8 or Viewsonic vx3276-2k

    Both 1440p IPS panel 10bit (8bit+FRC)

    similar price when ebay 15/20%
