  • weren't the kogans banned for a bit there?

seems decent though…cant complain too much for the with a samsung panel… LED would be nice :D

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43907 - 42" LED… not really much to compare it to but did have all the built in stuff..

    also whats the refresh rate?

    • 50/60 Hz. There's more info in the specs tab from the link

Be careful with Kogans' claims. Samsung screens, if in fact they are actually inside the tv, make many different grades. Even in the days of cathode ray tubes, there were people making claims that various dodgy brands were using "Sony picture tubes" and that that you were just not paying for the name. Oh, and yes I have had a Samsung lcd screen replaced under warranty.

Hmm, interesting turn of phrase there, does this imply that the USB port won't power a 2.5" portable HDD? :o

Usual Kogan advertising. No deal really.

I bought the same tv on ebay 4 weeks ago - for $480. I also returned it the next day as the video encoding was dreadful, just pathetic.. Sure the Samsung screen gives great colours and contrast, but the supplied graphics engine that does the upscaling / processing was very poor. Also suffered ghosting badly..

But hey I did a deal with them and swapped it for a 40" LED, but returned that one as well for the same reasons…

    • That is amazing..
Imagine al the warehouse sales they must have to get rid of the returns they get..

Look at all the digital channels you get to watch with this TV which is all included in the price. :)

Typical bodgy advertising from that Russian guy who sells 6-gen old no-name Chinese made TV's, pretending to be a home grown tru-blue Aussie retailer. How about no, your products are third rate at best & not worth a fraction of your sale price. Advertising shit with your TV like "Free EPG" and "Free extra channels" is blatantly misleading, as any TV these days comes with the ability to pick those up from the TV networks anyway.

Also, 8ms response time for the TV panel is a complete laughing stock & renders the monitor useless for gaming / using a PC on - the very thing the item is purported to be good for.
