Decent deal for a well reviewed sound bar.
Basically the cheapest 5.1/surround sound bar there is, AFAIK.
Seems like it's only been cheaper once (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/416119) but not sure if that deal was valid/real.

yep, no lossless Dolby. a compromise some might be willing to make at this price.
How's the acoustic beam technology? I have the k650 and contemplating on getting this. Lack of Dolby atmos is a shame..
reviews say the technology works well, and increases the soundstage.

Got my order yesterday. Acoustic beam works well for what it is. Makes the sound feel like it is enveloping you, but it is definitely not directional like a normal speaker set would be. And it only works on the higher end of the spectrum; you're not gonna get a rumble sound coming from one side etc. but it works well for a lot of situations. Background noise/environmental noise (which tends to have a lot of higher frequency sound) will be processed by Acoustic beam, as well as lots of 'sound effects' (whoosh/mechanical/action noises). It sounds real natural too, not tacky or artificial, and you get acclimated to it immediately. Overall, it's a nice addition but not spectacular and definitely not a replacement for traditional side or rear speakers.
In general, it's a pretty decent sound bar. Fairly clear output, loud and good bass. Very easy to set up.
I think it is only JUST worth it at this price; if you're on an even smaller budget, you can probably still get 85% of this quality at a lower price point.
@gavanitrate: Thanks for the great feedback - contemplating the N950 currently going under 1k but the 650 is cheap at ~400 at the moment, acoustic beam does seem like a good compromise to the Dolby Atmos but still unsure if it'll be a significant difference to the K650 that I have now. Hmmmm..
