Some more PLUSMORE Deals - EDIT: We've pulled some strings and upgraded the 2400G to the 2600 for both listings at the same price (anyone who purchased 2400G will receive 2600).

First something a bit different that we have built, tested and can recommend as an entry level personal computer through our partnership with Biostar:

AMD FX-8800P (2.1-3.4GHz) CPU / 8GB DDR4 RAM / 120GB SSD / 500W PSU / Leaper Small Form Factor Case: 279.20 / $296.65 with PLUSMORE (20% eBay Plus / 15% regular)

Note that we're not marketing this is a gaming PC - this is for personal/office/student computing. The CPU is a notebook processor in a proprietary desktop motherboard created by Biostar. The specs are in the listing's images.

You need the upgraded mobo afaik to o/c

    • to my under standing all Zen CPU's can be over clocked out of the box but i would invest in a better cooler

    • Yeah, it can. Needs to be paired with the B350 chipset however, you won't be able to over clock on a A320 motherboard which it comes with a default. I'd recommend purchasing the B350 motherboard upgrade they have within their store.

  • Can the liquid cooling be added to the Ryzen 5 and is it needed/recommended?
And whats the wifi usb? There's no onboard wifi?

    • Yes it can, we use a Corsair H55 at this stage. I'll let others comment on necessity. No on board Wifi in these boards. The USB Wifi is a small adpater that will come plugged into the back of the system or in the accessories box allowing for WiFi connectivity.

      • Thanks for that Luke,

One last question before I look at putting at order through.. does the it come with the wraith cooler from CPU or is that where the liquid cooling add on come in?
        Thanks.

        • Yep, the stock cooler is the Wraith on the Ryzen 5. A liquid cooler replaces that and it doesn't ship with it.

  • No free games with these RX580 combos anymore?

    • +2

It is likely but not guaranteed. We don't have an umlimited supply of codes so they have been removed from the listing but may still apply.

  • Hey Luke,
Was trying to buy the 2600 580 system with the Mobo upgrade but was informed by eBay the link has expired.
Is it just me having a problem or you guys have taken the upgrade option down.
    Thanks

  • I'm still waiting for my order. I'm on the 11th working day already. I hope the 2 free games will compensate the waiting time at least

    • Day 31, still waiting on my computer :)

      • Oh Shiz. Is it an AMD CPU and GPU?

        • No my system is the r5 2600 rtx2080

          • @ShyGuy1: I'll try to update you with mine. I ordered the starter system R3 2300 and RX570

            • @techeboy00: Apparently there wasn't enough 2080s delivered to them and that's why it has taken longer, maybe your delivery time will be faster than mine

              • @ShyGuy1: I'm in the same boat. I ordered 2 systems on 10/02; one with he R5 2600/RTX2080 and one with R5 2600/RX580. Was told there were supply issues with the R5 CPU.

  • What is a good monitor to go with the RX580 combo. Can anyone recommend something around the 27" and $400 mark?

Seriously cheap AMD FX-8800P system - Cheaper than refurbished Dells, wow!

OP do you know the speed/timing of the ram?

      2400Mhz

  • Hey Luke,

I'm trying to get this (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192847673329), and some upgrades but it seems like there's a problem. Contacted ebay and they told me you guys have a problem with your paypal payment. Do you know when it will be sorted out?

    • There's no issue on our end that we're aware of and sales are still coming through, so not sure how to help here, other than suggest to maybe try a different eBay account or device?

      • i called ebay up again and they got it fixed, but thanks a lot anyways!!

  • Hi Luke,

I bought this yesterday. Can I still add on a motherboard upgrade?
Do either have an M2 NVME slot?

    • A320s don't, B350s do at the one we're using now but may not feature on every model we use. Sorry a bit vague but we're using multiple models due to the quantity we're requiring.

      • Ahh. So no guarantee of a NVME. Thanks for the quick response.

  • Hi, i'm curious if we can swap parts ourselves. e.g changing components (such as psu) without voiding warranty?

    • If the swapped part is found to be the cause of a fault claimed under warranty, there will certainly be warranty implications.

    • If the swapped part is found to be the cause of a fault claimed under warranty, there will certainly be warranty implications.

  • Hey Luke notice on your website you are out of stock on Air coolers
was going to make a request to get a better air cooler for my sister's build any idea when they might be restocked?

  • Hey Luke,

A couple questions if I were to purchase one of your systems (more specifically R5 2600 / RX 580) but request it as unbuilt.

    a) Does this do anything to the warranty/warranties? If so how to deal with it?
    b) Since you won't be testing what do I do if a part arrives and find it to be DOA?
    c) Will requesting unbuilt speed up the despatch/expected delivery time? If so, by how long?
    d) Is there a cost reduction with no build time involved? If so, how much?

    • Hey mate with inbuilt systems manufacturer warranty for each component applies but our 1 year assembled warranty doesn't apply as we haven't built it.
We will replace DOA as per system warranty - within 7 days of receipt.
Unassembled are picked on the same day as the other orders placed on that day, but skip build/testing. Saves 1-2 days.
      No cost reduction.

      Cheers

  • Hi Luke,
Does the desktop have wifi adaptor or need to add separately ?
Also what is the time from payment to reaching home ? I'm interested in RX580 one

    • No on board Wi-Fi on mobos but our usb Wi-Fi adapter is $19 through PC Upgrades in listing.
Build time is 15-20 days at the moment, then a couple of days transit to eastern states or 3-4 north or west, 1 day Adelaide or metro Melb.

  • Says the deal for the r5 2600/rx 580 is over on ebay

  • The Ryzen 5 2600/RX 580 8GB is a very good deal. I bought one during last month's eBay PASSIONATE promo for about $80 more, so this PLUSMORE promo is a very good price.

Still waiting waiting for it to be dispatched though.

    • how long have you been waiting?

      • Ordered on the 10/02.

        • man thats overdue… when are you expecting it to arrive?

          • @techeboy00: I was informed that it would be dispatched last week sometime (delays with receiving Rysen 5 chips), but it is still not marked as "Sent" in eBay.

            • @JLai: They told me that mine will be dispatched this week… It's kinda hard to believe now after so many logistics complaints I read in Ozbargain.

              • @techeboy00: Maybe it's just the stock issue with Ryzen 5 CPUs and they are still clearing a backlog of system builds from the initial promo. They have noted that their turnaround time is about 20 business days.
I've sent them a follow message through eBay.

                • @JLai: Trust me. There's no shortage for AMD products as of now, I can consider if its Intel… but even Intel already went back to normal. This has something to do with where do they get their stocks at all. A bit sketchy to be honest..

                  • @techeboy00: Just received my R5/RX580 system today. Still waiting for my R5/RTX2080 - though it is now marked as "Sent" on eBay.

                    • @JLai: Great, they emailed me about the systems. 1st batch shipping starts this week and I think the later orders next week.

                    • @JLai: What brands/models of parts where in bundle?

                      • @User50301: The R5/RX580 system:
                        MOBO : ASUS Prime A320-A
                        GPU : BIOSTAR
                        RAM : GSkill NT 2666
                        PSU : Allied
                        SSD : Allied

  • Assuming this deal rolls around again.

Is the RX850 deal powerful enough to play current games on max settings at 1080p?

    • Far cry New Dawn
    • original Crysis
    • GTA5
    • watch dogs 2

    Could it do 4K ?

    • Yes, max settings for all at 1080P

Could probably achieve medium settings at 4K, but haven't tested it

    Just an update

    Ordered: 6th of March
    Received: 2th of April
    Requested: non assembled.

    Well Packaged, non assembled.
    Everything as it should be.
Biostar Board, Crucial SSD, Allied PSU, Bios Star GPU
Even 2666mhz Gskill Ram and a AMD Game Coupon

Apart from almost taking a month to arrive,I'm very happy with this purchase!

  • Anyone else received their orders yet?

    • I received mine yesterday after ordering on the 6th.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the service despite the long wait time.

I ordered the Ryzen R5 2600x, RTX 2080 build with mobo upgrade.

Biostart board, Inno3D GPU Triple fan, Thermaltake PSU, Crucial SSD (CT240BX500SSD1), 2400 MHz RAM looks generic.

I was messaging Luke back and forth for updates and he was very helpful. They also sent me game redemption codes for the Ryzen R5 and RTX 2080 parts (Division 2, BFV, Anthem, Metro Exodus)

I’m not a huge fan of the case, so I will probably replace that but everything else seems well put together.

      • Did your motherboard have the nvme slot? I will be receiving mine tomorrow and ordered on the 10th of March. Really looking forward to it!

        • I got this exact board. I don't know much about NVME but I think the M2 slot is what you're looking for right? So yes it does.

  • Ordered 10/03 and received 15/04 (meant to be 12/04)

Case: Leaper Pro Mid Tower ATX case
    CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
    GPU: MSi Ventus 2080
    Motherboard (Upgrade): Biostar B45M2
    RAM: Generic 1x8 stick
    PSU: Thermaltake Powerlite 750W
    SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB

GPU temp ran up to 80C and crashed Overwatch multiple several times
Ran two blue screen errors different codes all in one day.

  • Just received mine, and I must say, I am impressed with the cable management, particularly given the price we paid. There's been some effort putting it together.

The case doesn't look THAT bad either, but is definitely budget, which is to be expected.

One thing I am not used to is the noise level of the Allied 550w PSU…there's quite an audible hum/fan noise I can hear outside my room and I can feel the vibrations through the case…now it is a budget PSU, but this is only idling, I'm yet to play any games… so I'm wondering, what is everyone else's experience RE the noise level of the cheap Allied PSU at idle?
