wow, didn't know that 24GB sticks exist. TIL

So that’s where the Klevv memory in the prebuilt deals is from, I thought they were some random generic.

SK Hynx doesnt want to upset the customers who buy their chips with its own inhouse brand so it used a company in the group to create another company :) . Even their in house nvme drives are mostley sold to OEMs like Dell and HP and they only really ever released a few retail nvme drives under the Hynx name.

I bought these about 6 months ago and have been stoked with the performance since then. Easily overclocked a bit and look really nice and clean.

    • Same place same price?.. did you just set XMP/EXPO and thats it?

      • +1

Same place but I think it was even cheaper, around $190 which was a huge steal. Yep I set EXPO (with a 9700x) and then raised mhz to 6200 and it booted first try.

  • small correction, there is no 24Gbit A die, these are Hynix 24Gbit M die, should OC similarly if you're interested in that

    • 24GB Hynix memory modules can be found with either A-Die or M-Die. A-Die and M-Die are different revisions of Hynix memory chips used in DDR5 modules. While both can be found in 24GB modules, A-Die is generally considered better.

      • +1

I can confirm as I own this very kit, 24GB Hynix modules are only H24M, 16GB modules can be H16A or H16M, more often H16A. There is currently no H24A die, might exist in pre-production or engineering samples but those wont make it to the standard retail market

        • I see this kit is H24M

  • I need to upgrade, should I buy this. Seems good.

    • YES, but its sold out now. Lots of 32GB cheaper options that are just as good though.. 32GB is more then enough for 99% of people General PC & PC Gaming needs

      • Damn it. Nothing adjusted on the page until go to deal. DAMN IT
any other recomendations of cl30 48/64

Ive currently got 32gig. thinking more 48/64

      • thoughts on 4sticks of 16gig? asrock b650e mobo

        • Some AM5 CPU's will have issues with 48GB or more 6000 CL30 some CPU's wont be 100% stable with 64GB 2x32GB sticks at 6000 CL30 using stock EXPO or XMP 4x16GB DDR5 will be even worse. Dont do it to yourself.
Also single Rank is easier on the memory controller vs dual rank ( chips on both sides of the stick.)

          Symptoms are:

Once a week the PC wont boot requiring you to turn off at power point or reset bios back to 4800MT/s CL40 default speeds.
Once a week PC will memory train and take 1-2 minutes to boot into windows

The is fixed by turning off XMP/EXPO so ram runs at 4800 CL40 taking the stain away from the CPU Memory controller.
Or using the 2nd EXPO setting that usually DDR5 5600 CL30 or something like that.

running 32 or even 48GB's ( less then 64GBs ) is easier for the CPU memory controller to handle and the most stable systems are 32GB CL30 :)

unless you really need more ram you PC will run more stable on 32GB's with Zen4 or Zen5 ( both use the same memory controller)

Zen6 is supposed to have a new memory controller and TWO of them to share the load of larger sizes. 64GB+ or maybe even 128GB's+ with support for faster 1 to 1 speeds then the current 6000MT/s

@vid_ghost: Wow okay, never knew that.
Ive currently got corsair vengeance 6000mhz cl36 but I think its starting to go a bit dodgy.

Does upgrading to that Klevv 2x16 black provide much of an upgrade then you think?

Also ram usage super high and when playing tarkov which is why i was thinking 48/64

            • @Rabbii: Watch this video about performance for RAM 4800 VS 6000

You don't lose much performance at all so speed of ram doesn't matter too much ( unless your running a Geforce RTX5090 or something crazy fast)

The best thing you can do for your system is have it be 100% stable

how much graphics memory does your GPU have.. if its only 8Gb's the PC will shift some textures to the system ram to reduce the burden on the GPU :)

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5K8Rg-oDwU&t

Also umart.com.au gets restock of this ram every 1-3 weeks if you want to wait.
You can send them an email to ask for an ETA if you wanna know.

              • @vid_ghost: im waiting on a 5070ti i think. Since 4000s hitting same price pre much. I just purchased a 9800x3d that vod showed 6000mhz at cl30 is good price per frame so thats seems the best.

Ive recently ran a few benchmark tests and at rated very poorly with every other component being excellent and great (mobo/ssds/gpu/cpu/psu)

So i think ill wait for the 48gig mighty be the best idea. Youve scared me off 64gig deals now.

                • @Rabbii: Lots of people run 2x32 (64GB) 6000 CL30 just fine.

I had a Ryzen 7500F with 64Gbs and it was 100% stable rock solid

I upgraded that same PC to a Ryzen 7700 and once a week it wouldnt boot or take 3
2 to 3 minutes to memory train.. i turned off the EXPO to back to 4800 CL40 default ram settings and it fixed those two issues.

So its possile tp run 64GBs 6000 CL30 its just not garrantied. I ordered the 48GB Klev ram above to swap out the ram on this same system to test. 6000 CL30 on 48GBs.. hoping the CPU plays better on this ram vs the Kingston Fury that its using now. If not i have a 2x 16GB (32GB kit) Of Gskill 6000 CL30 that i will use.

  • I've got the same CPU currently (7700)never had issues booting until last week when I player around with xmp???
Was trying to address screen flickering on games and was informed dodgy or failing ram could be causing this.
Let me know how the klev goes please :)

    • Sure, but have you tried Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download? and then installing the latest graphics drivers?

      This fixes most graphics glitches.

The the time i had flickering on games it was my graphics card.

I had to low the graphics memory Mhz to fix it :) .. also sometimes lowering the GPU clock Mhz fixes this issue too..

Over time graphics cards Auto OC's start to fail with time… heat or age deteriorates the chips ability… changing thermal past sometimes also helps.
I think it could also be electromigration or a faulty capacitor/resistor on the circuit board. Can you return the card under warranty? If DDU doesn't work?

installed the ram, EXPO running fine so far no issues.. the test is how it goes over a few weeks

  • +1

Well so far so good this ram is great where Kingston Fury 64GB DDR5 6000 CL36 1.35v Hynx Mdie was 100% stable on a new Ryzen 7700 this Klev 48GB 1.35v Hybix ram is. :) I recommend it for anyone wanting more then 32GB but dont want to risk their CPU memory controller not able to handle 64GB while running @6000MT/s
