    Yes it's meant to be automatic. Best to contact them to confirm? Mine's on board for delivery today.. looks like they jumped the gun a bit!

      Unfortunately it's not. I had to contact them and they reluctantly agreed after the usual technicalities. They're not instilling much confidence in their pre order price match claim. Will think twice before buying from them next time.
      Got mine this morning!

      The Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to items sold by Amazon AU, and, other than certain digital music albums, not to items (or prices) offered by other sellers on our site.

  I spoke to Amazon's support yesterday for quite some time about the pre order guarantee and escalated the situation as far as I could.

  They fairly quickly offered me the money back saying they would give it to me even though they didn't have to.

  This annoyed me so I went in to bat for everyone and said ALL pre orders should be getting the refund and that it was owed to everyone.

  And it looks like it may have worked? I got what appears to be an automated email this morning. Did anyone else? If not, I'll keep fighting the fight.

    I got it this morning. They did tell me a few days ago I would receive it with 24-72 hours though. I think it's an automated system which the reps have no control over.

    I got $70 back which makes the phone $1279.

  This got delivered today. It didn't come with the Galaxy Buds and they sent me a Chinese version with a Chinese wall charger. The phone had also already been set up in Chinese, meaning someone had handled it. Absolutely disgraceful

    you must have bought it from a third party seller (not amazon au), that doesnt come with buds and it's grey
