I don’t wanna tell u how to do your job, but wouldn’t PREORDERS15 be a better code?

    • +4

      PREORDER20 better still 😊

    • +47

Break it down, and the reason for the code becomes obvious… PreorderS10

      • No free shipping for eBay Plus members.
Edit: Looks like they fixed it!, bought

      • +2

Maybe he wants the Galaxy S15 on discount.

Not complaining, but these are preorders for Australian stock, so why aren’t the Galaxy Buds included?

    • +16

Mobileciti doesn't appear to be a participating retailer for the Pre-Order Bonus

Only the following stores are part of the promotion:

      Samsung Retail Stores
      Vodafone
      The Good Guys
      Samsung Online Store
      Harvey Norman
      Bing Lee
      Telstra
      JB Hi-Fi
      Amazon
      Optus
      Officeworks
      Woolworths

Uh, okay, thanks mate. That’s really disappointing, but not Mobilcitis fault.

      • Will jb hi fi price match?
Can gain an extra 5% off with gift cards

        • +1

I doubt they will pricematch coupon discount.

        • just called, they refused

        • Will Officeworks price match then?

    • Edit: Pretty sure RichardL is right

    • Yeh they did this with the s8 and kept the vertual glasses I guess that's the savings your getting.

      • Mobileciti doesn't keep the buds

    Biggest questions:
    Are 128gb versions dual Sim?
Which chipset does this models have?

    • only 512gb are dual sim

      • So the Australian version of the S10 128gb is single SIM + micro SD and the S10 512 gb is hybrid dual SIM (SIM + SIM/micro SD)?

Is this the same for the Australian version of the S10+?

    • Australian stock, so will be the Exynos chipset.

      • IMO Exynos is better than SD if you care about Audio as it got cirrus logic dac

      • -1

which is better IMO for everything save for gcam

my note 9 was leaps faster than my current pixel 3xl

        • +5

Exynos S10 has been proven significantly slower than the Snapdragon S10.

Check out the vids on Youtube.

          • -1

@b-radicool: Was doing some reading and looking at the benchmarks and it looks like if you have a Aus S9 Snapdragon, by "upgrading" to an Aus Exynos S10, you may actually be taking a performance hit! So in terms of just looking at the processor it would actually be a downgrade…

          • @b-radicool: does samsung have history of optimising their own chipset later on after release via software upgrade(s)?
or is the issue more in the hardware capabilities itself, e.g. Mali in Exynos (sht) vs Adreno in SD, which means Exynos will never have a chance to better SD..?

        • +2

Your note 9 also has 6gb of ram (at least) compared to the 4gb in the pixel 3xl. It's not a like for like comparison.

          • @Fiximol: yeah was only a 6bg variant but that might be it.

I had assumed CPU since tasks like performing photo edits are slower on pixel but now that I think about it, it's likely the ram limit.

damn this 3XL . the ram difference really does matter

        • whoa, downvotes. it was an opinion from personal experience
(a likely incorrect opinion one since I had never considered the ram)

  • Nice maybe Amazon price match.

    • +1

Amazon won’t price match this as Mobileciti doesn’t offer Galaxy Buds. On the other hand, Amazon does.

  • Theres nothing in their listing saying the buds are not included, ive messaged them and asked

    • +3

As stated in the OP, Mobileciti has confirmed that the Buds are excluded.

  • They fixed it!
Ordered the phone, thanks again for another good deal.

      1. The majority of people are not eligible for EPP deals
      2. EPP discounts vary, depending on your employer. A lot of people who are eligible only receive a 10% discount
      3. This deal is available to everybody
      • +1

The most common EPP is if you have a student email in your household. I ordered mine at 15% directly from Samsung for 1275.

        • I'm a student, mind telling me how I can use EPP?

          • @ohrehman: Just google Samsung Education store and it will guide you through the setup. All you will need is an edu.au email.

    • Not exactly, "Galaxy Buds pre-order offer not available on Enhanced Partnership Program" (emphasis mine) (Source: Samsung EPP. Screenshot here)

This may be good for someone who would like to compound discount with eBay gift cards.

However, if you've got 28 Degrees credit card, might be better to pay with it as it gives you price protection against any price drops to minimise loss, especially if you are planning to sell the phone later on.

      (didn't downvote you btw)

  • +3

Will cancel my Amazon pre order as I was going to sell my buds anyway. Thanks TA

  • Where's the S10+, 1tb storage, 12gb RAM option for the overkill users ?

  • anyone getting this error Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later.

Quoted from OP + the big blue TODAY ;)

Apply code PREORDERS10 at checkout from 5PM AEDT.

      • +1

Got too excited clicking links to read the fine print :)

    • +4

not tanking, just not greedy as Apple coz Samsunng and others handing more margin too retailers for flexibility. if you want cheap Apple, they are easily 20-30% too depends on where you buy them, I got my brand new Au stock iPhone Xs Max 256GB as a spare phone for just $950 :), why spend rrp of just a bit over $2K :))

      • +2

Where did you buy it from?

        • there are some phone stores always buy phones from people who signed contracts and don’t need them hence selling cheap to the stores, not recommend though if you don’t know what you are doing :)

          • @webtherapist: How is that a sale? That's some doggy internal stuff. Samsungs lose a lot more value than iPhones, makes buying them at launch a huge mistake.

      • +2

        yeah what’s the scoop webtherapist

      • I dont, i got a brand new XR64gb for $700, retail $1229 :) I Had a Max, I Would of flipped that thing.

not tanking, just not greedy as Apple coz Samsunng and others handing more margin too retailers for flexibility

That's a nice story. Did you make it up?

Anyhow it does seem crazy to pay $1000+ for a device designed to send as much data about the user as possible to the world's largest data collector. One thing you cannot say about Apple is it doesn't make almost all of it's money collecting data and causing further losses to the device's user via large scale data collection and advertising.

  • What's the difference between two and s10e?

    • +2

The s10e is the "compact" version. Smaller footprint but you lose a camera and the in display finger print reader. Many comparisons on line e.g. here

    • +2

Another consideration is if you want a tempered glass screen protector, I believe one will work with the S10 and 10+ and even then its curved edges don't make for a great fit. The Ultrasonic Fingerprint Senor can't work through tempered glass.

S10E is a flat screen so will have far more options.

  • aparently 512GB versions support Hybrid Sim (dual sim modes, 1+ microSD or 1+ 1) for AU stock. international stock all have Hybrid Sim

    • i need a dual sim version, can you able to post where you saw this?

      • yep, you can check with HarveyNorman and other retailers’ websites too to reconfirm. all international versions have hybrid sim tray + snap855 too

    • Why do we get discrimination like that? Every model should be dual Sim. It's 2019 all flagships should be dual Sim not just cause we are in Aus. That's bullcrap

      • same with eSIM, because they don’t want you to shop around to get good incentives from other providers, espeically new prepaid always has heaps of data for cheap :)

        • Yeah stuff that I will just import when it gets cheaper for the correct dual Sim model or I will just pick Huawei or Oneplus instead. Stuff Samsung and Aus telcos. It's my money I buy what I want. I don't need to them to dictate what I get

  • -3

With samsungs it's a good idea to wait a few months for a decent price drop, regret buying my note 8 brand new at launch day, lost 50% value in 12 months, they just don't hold their value like iphones do

    • +3

Thats why I bought Note9 on preorder with Go card with price protection..

    • +2

I'd say opposite. Sure, maybe don't pre-order if you want best price, but Samsung phones are pretty stable in price and you can usually get a stabilised price shortly after release. Waiting say another 6 month usually doesn't help you get a better deal.

For example, we bought note 8 a month or two from release for $990. Would have had to wait a year or so for any better price.

Then again, if you are willing to wait a year or so, that's the prime time to buy after new generation is released. I'm referring to buying the latest/current generation when I don't think it makes sense to wait more than a couple of months.

    • +1

Yup agree wait for that initial launch to be over you don't even need to wait 12 months, 6-8 months is about right.

    • +1

My note 8 sold for $900 12 months after I bought it. I paid $1250 off Sammy site. What are you on about?

      • you got lucky getting $900 for it, those were not the going prices on gumtree. i'm basing my values from $1500 launch day price @ jbhifi

        • I bought if Sammy site pre order special. Also the price was the average price for great condition at the time. I had no trouble selling it.

    • -1

^this statement is extreme, although I feel like there will be a lot of secondhand S10+'s floating around after the Telstra 5G S10 update?

      • You don't get to keep the S10+ if you do the free upgrade.. You need to hand it back to Telstra.

        • Yeah I know. Secondhand refurbished.

    • +2

This isn't investment banking. If you're buying a phone based on resale value, put your money somewhere else. If you're buying a phone for 12 months minimum constant entertainment, productivity, communication etc.. then splash that cash.

  • ANy of these dual sim, doesn't say on the descriptions

    • +2

      Hi Osiris,

512GB variants of the S10 and S10+ Plus are Hybrid Sim. (Sim 2 slot is also used for microSD card)

      • Hi TAF, can u please confirm if the s10+ 512 comes with 12 GB Ram? And whats the deal between ceramic white and porcelain white?

        • only 1TB comes with 12GB RAM, others come with 8GB except S10e

      • Does the 128 GB S10+ support micro sd?

        • yes, it does, except 5G version which only has 256GB built-in storage

      • Hey are they shipping as first come first serve or random?

  • Great sale. Same price as the student discount but no Galaxy buds.

    • +2

they also have no Galaxy buds.

      • -4

As in you can buy from Samsung store with Student discount to get S10 with buds.

        • +2

You don't get the buds when you order through the samsung education store.

          • @[Deactivated]: That's odd, I called Samsung store and they assured me that it would come with the Galaxy Buds.
