      They're stuck in this cycle:

      1. Improve introductory plans (basically all of the offers on OzBargain)
      2. Many users sign up — inflates their subscriber numbers. Investors (Amaysim is ASX listed) like to see growing subscriber numbers, not paying attention to the way that Amaysim is achieving new subs
      3. Users in step 2 quit after their intro period ends (basically all of OzBargain)
      4. Goto 1 because market doesn't like falling subs

        I think you're right, but OP has included T&Cs which suggest it does. Probably needs editing. The $10 plan (according to Amaysim's own website) does not include any international calls. International calls are included from $30/mth plans and upwards.

    So if I got the 2 Jan amaysim cashback deals that means I can't get this one??
    This has confused me slightly…….

      Hi CC123,

      These amaysim cashback deals have always been for new customers. To be considered as a new amaysim customer you need to create a new amaysim account with a new email address.

      You can disable auto-renew once you activate the sim.
      If you do that, you will not be able to make calls or send texts.
      You can still receive them.

          I don't really see the issue.

          You could see this in several ways:
          1) You have a friend/relative from overseas who needs a local number + data for their time here. They are not a heavy data user.
          2) You just want to make $4.
          3) You want to make $4. As an added bonus, if you're a "first time user" slut, each new phone number is particularly useful.
          4) Not worth the messing around.

          You're in camp #4, but it's as if you're ignoring there is actually potential utility in this.
