    I just don't get all the negativity towards Bali. I think people go to Kuta/Legian/Sanur/Seminyak and think they know what Bali is like.

    I live in Byron Bay and go to Bali all the time for holidays. Admittedly, I usually don't stay in a cheap, crappy hotel in Kuta, I usually stay in a nice villa in Ubud or Canggu (or further afield) and it can be truly amazing. Beautiful scenery, waterfalls, rice fields, friendly locals, great food. Whats not to like?

    I get the hate for the areas of Bali that have been ruined by the Aussie Bogan Tourist™ but the rest of Bali is amazing. Don't blame Bali, blame the Aussie Bogan Tourist™ for ruining beautiful places.

      No, Bali is not full of Aussie tourists. Only a few very small areas are, and those areas are IMHO ruined. The rest of Bali can be amazing.

    Variety. A lot of 737s, but then randomly you'll connect in MEL and get the domestic leg on an A330, it seems.
