  • May I ask what’s difference with Inspiron and Vostro ?

    • +3

Vostro is entry level business laptop and inspiration is budget laptop. I think vostro is better quality than Inspiron

      • in general yes, but relationships between classes have been blurred lately. like for example precision 3530 is effectively Latitude 5591 with better components, and precision 5530 is XPS 15 with better components. and I always thought vostro to be "don't have enough money to get latitude", but prices are very similar now.

  • mm. 1x1 wifi..

how long do u reckon a 42whr battery can last? 8hours of word processing?

  • Decent specs, but for me I prefer 14inch screen, otherwise perfect for the price.

  • I have Vostro 7000 series with 7700HQ processor, it's really good but heavy.

    • I didn't know vostro goes all the way up, does your pc have a discrete graphics?

it appears dell removed vostro 7000 from current model lineup.

anyway, I posted a deal here for $1200 Dell Precision 3530, that one came with i5-8300H and equivalent of MX150, but suckers moved it to insufficient stock deals thread because there were only 6 uniys at this price. anyway, they were wiped out rather quickly.

      • You'll get that when the minimum quantity is 10.

        • don't care. I find a good deal, I share it, and that was a damn good deal at that.

what you guys do with it, is your own misfortune

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yeah it’s a shitty move. Heaps of whingers here, whose main purpose is to just complaint about deals

            • @Pricebeat: and what about deals that are not quantifiable? like Canon 80-200 2.8 lens, the magic drainpipe. can be bought for $600 delivered, in almost new condition, from Japan, and beats almost every EF 70-200 lens made, but I can't post it here because it doesn't fit the rules. the lens is a bargain, and I have it.

better deal than vostro posted here. qty: 1. that's what I am talking about.

          • @[Deactivated]: Looks like it’s private listing. Even if there were 10 available, it wouldn’t pass the ebay posting rules

            • @Pricebeat: it's an extreme case, the precision deal was a proper dealer one.

      • I think they stopped 7000 series last year. My laptop has 1050Ti graphics card. This is the one I am referring too.

        • +1

          an excellent deal indeed!

        • how big is the battery in that one?

  • Ended up buying one, a little more than what I was going to spend on a laptop.
There is a lower-spec'ed version, with 35% off, code SBSAVER35
    https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/business-laptops-ultrab…
Comes to about $780 with Win10 Pro.

But chose the (more) expensive one as it has USB-C, slightly newer graphics card, backlit keyboard, SSD.

  • Does anybody have a code that will work for this model?

    Cheers

  • Also Cashrewards 2.8% … forgot all about it

    • The invoice that fell send you, does it have the full $1700 price or the reduced $950
