Hi OzBargainers, this is my first post, so all your comments are welcome. I just ordered this for myself after comparing with Lenovo Thinkpad E570p for $1198.40. I have chosen this for additional 1 TB HDD, VGA port, Windows 10 Pro and prefer Dell over Lenovo.

I thank all OzBargainers for all previous posts and discussions.

Good deal - I would probably go for this over the ThinkPad too. Dell's on-site warranty alone is easily worth the extra cash.

I got this too. It's advertised as a 'business class' laptop but also has the gaming capability. Ticks all the boxes.

  • Anyone know how the setup on the ssd/hdd combo works? Is everything drop so programs install on the hdd, so there is no messing about with space running or on the ssd?

    • The OS (Windows 10) will be installed on the SSD by default and you would normally put all your movies/music/files on your HDD for storage.

Normally you would install the most used programs on the SSD and perhaps the larger, less commonly used programs on your HDD.

      • Is this how Dell configures it? My understanding was that the default locations could be moved to the hdd so the user doesn't need to keep changing it. Wanted to save that bother with such a small primary drive.

        • I assume program files would default to ssd but Im sure you could change this.

For 80$ extra you can get 16GB RAM instead of 8GB here:

You probably also get the extras in the picture? Anybody knows?

    • I wish I'd known of this!

I'm guessing it's a stock picture, because it's not in the description, but it doesn't hurt to ask the seller.

    • When I posted the description for this read as "8GB" only but with these extras in pic.

I just checked revision details, seems like it was edited on 18th, a day after the post.If those extras included then this is a good deal.

I messaged the seller before purchasing and YES!, it comes with the mouse, the bag, and the powerbank as a free bundle item.

      • I messeged too but he hasn't responded, so this is nice to hear!
I reckon this was a great bargain!

        • Agreed! :) The code PCTECH expires today but the code PRAWNS ends on the 28th!
