Some decent looking scooter bargains in "toys" though.

What do you mean by bargains? Cheap rubbish with false specifications and no warranty or spare parts?

      • Xiaomi = "Cheap rubbish with false specifications and no warranty or spare parts"?

        Alrighty then.

People seemed to be going nuts for the international versions over the past few months.

edit: I just realized the scooter isn't Xiaomi (XCT85). Jesus Christ it's near identical!

        • +3

I didn't mean the false specifications part about the Xiaomi as the link only said scooter with Xiaomi band but I wouldn't trust Mytopia with warranty or after sales support and would also question where they get their stock.

Edit: I was right more lies from Mytopia.

I'm negging them over that misleading Xiaomi scooter.

Thanks for taking the time to post the deal, unfortunately these companies can't be trusted.

          • @Maverick-au: All good. I was just browsing eBay and it came up. Came here and hadn't been posted so I added it.

The scooter is what caught my eye as visually it's a dead on clone of the Xiaomi m365. I thought if someone wanted to swap out the band instead of two tires for the international version it was roughly the same price as the last m365 international model deal.

If people are buying with their eyes open than more power to them.

It'll be rubbish that you can't get parts for nor be able to claim warranty on.

Be warned that Mytopia is another trading name for AGR Machinery and Edisons. Any good reviews are generally false.

    http://www.productreview.com.au/p/edisons.html

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Mytopia

Their website is full of phony reviews or ones left when the product arrived. This is one review that sums it up - http://www.productreview.com.au/p/baumr-ag-bcx720.html

    Review from Whirlpool

"I'm sorry to say you have bought a pile of junk. Bought one of these off that mob and it was the biggest pile of rubbish, the plastics broke the motor and shafts would not lock into place and the pull stater broke on its second start and they refused to sent me a replacement even after I sent a picture of the broken unit, edisons are well known to sell junk and there support is not much better, good luck."

"It's worse. Alias 'agrmachinery' and 'mytopiastore'. They are scum and protected by the fleaBay rating system.
The Search tab on the left will find real experiences… keeping it local.. then there's google."

Edison's even posted a fake review in the thread…

    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2503724

And of course the master AGR machinery thread with hundreds of negative experiences that are all genuine.

    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1283863
and then read whirlpool and ozbargain, eg: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/286720

I thought oh no ive brought yesterday and now its 20% cheaper. Dont panic, since yesterday they have increased the price by 25%. Best wait till the end of the sale an you will actually save 5%!!!!

  • I purchased a gas nail gun (Pasplode type) from them a few months ago.

    T.B.H it's been awesome!

While it was advertised as "comes with bonus nails" in practice it was only a clip, around 20 or so.

I purchased a box of 1,000 90mm (genuine Pasplode) nails from Bunnings and have nearly gone through the whole box.

I've also put a few 50mm nails through it.

In total it's probably not fired only half a dozen times or so.

It came within a couple of days and honestly I can't fault it.

For anyone searching for a Xiaomi M365 scooter - beware the MyTopia ones that show up in the search results are not genuine Xiaomi scooters.

They are using photos of a genuine Xiaomi M365 scooter, and including a "free" genuine Xiaomi fitness tracker band (hence why they appear in an Xiaomi search), but looking at the details near the bottom of the listing, the scooter being supplied is actually a Bullet brand and based on previous buyers feedback, it doesnt look like the photos.
