  • How well does it handle the wind?

    • G'day!
      When all guy ropes are pegged out, it's a solid beach shade.
      Just a heads up though, all beach shades & gazebo's act like a parachute in strong winds. Best way to manage that is adding more tie down points with extra guy ropes and pegs.

    • We have one and found in moderate wind you needed to dig down to the wet sand and peg into that and it was okay. The pegs were pulling like crazy in dry sand. We've only used it once though

        Very difficult to peg anything in dry sand. I'd recommend always going down to wet sand regardless of wind.

    Beware of dealing with this company offers. I bought Oztrail Fiesta Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo when they had 17 in stock on 8 March. Then got an email 12 March the stock they had wrong item in boxes and never had it at all. Only offered a refund my money.

    • I wouldn't hesitate a moment dealing with snowys. They are a really great retailer.. honest and reliable. The problem you had was that you ordered something from oztrail. They are renowned, for the wrong reasons. Your specific scenario sounds entirely plausible to me, where it was genuinely not the fault of snowys, rather poor service from oztrail in the first place.

      • I do not think so. How would they know if got wrong item in box without opening it. Got mixed messages when I called them. Also told from another Ozbargainer he got his yesterday. I speak from my experience, they cannot tell the truth. Sorry, but this is my experience and want to warn other Ozbargainers!

        • Appreciate your opinion, but was just keen to share mine as I've had nothing but good experiences with Snowys..
          I speak first hand about my dealings with Oztrail. I've had multipe experiences with them to know that it is not unlike them to stuff an order up, or refuse to honour a warranty. I would never buy one of their products again.

        • I got my Oztrail Fiesta Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo yesterday too, good experiences with them so far. The website said it had 10 in stock when i ordered. I haven't opened the box yet though.

          • @Wantone: Your very lucky they sent you one. I got in early when was it was first posted up on Ozbargain and did say they had 17 in stock. Very angry that business cannot be truthful. Give me an answer that box had wrong item in it and therefore I miss out. Explanation makes no sense and you buying and being sent one if purchased when they had 10, proves this. Not interested in companies not being truthful with customers. Will not be buying through this business again and will also be telling others what happened to me.

      Same here. Received email saying they couldn't find stock, would refund. Once bitten twice shy. Snowys is now on my blacklist.

      As soon as I read both your comments I wanted to find out what happened and I'll do my best to explain in chronological order:

      1. We marked the 20 x Yellow Fiesta Gazebo as clearance, with a discounted price.
      2. A customer shared that deal on here (OzBargain)
      3. All units sold within a day, including a walk-in customer in our SA store
      4. The instore customer notified us that the packaging was incorrect
      5. We quickly recognised that 7 other units in our SA warehouse had the same issue - we notified customers immediately.
      6. All other units (in our QLD warehouse) were checked - given the okay and dispatched.

      I'm really sorry that we weren't able to fulfil your orders, far from what we set out to achieve.
      I hope that you decide to you give us another crack in the future.

      • Why then did I miss out when I ordered and there was 17 ones in stock???? Given your above explanation, you have given them to people who didn't order first. This is very unfair. I bought mine approx 1 hour of post. Also, my original email I got from you said "You’ve caught us out!

        Despite our best efforts, we are not able to get our hands on any more of the OZtrail Fiesta Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo Sunburst Yellow you have ordered. Unfortunately, these have been discontinued Sorry about that!

        We would like to offer you 2 options:

        We can arrange for our accounts department to process your refund. It will usually take approximately 24-48 business hours to clear back to your account.
        OR
        Have a browse through our website and see if you can find an alternate product."

        I feel your handling of the situation is very unfair and my feelings have not changed from original comments, that anything you say cannot be believed.

          I'd feel the same way Kizashi, would've been such a letdown.

          All orders were wrapped, packed and ready to go when our in-store customer notified us. As you'd expect, our warehouse team went into meltdown trying to find the problem boxes while still getting all other orders sent on time (same day dispatch before 2pm).

          Again, I'm really sorry that this has happened and I don't blame you for how you feel.

          • @SnowysOutdoors: This still does not seem fair that random people got their order fulfilled. Not happy given I would of been one of the first (1st three) to order.

          • @SnowysOutdoors: I also rang on Sunday and was told this would be sent from your Queensland warehouse on Monday as Toll does not pick up on weekend. You really treat your customers fairly?????? Very second rate!!

  • Ordered one of these recently and it arrived in Sydney the following day…not bad for free shipping.

    Haven't used it yet but looks solid enough for the price.
