    Compared to :
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=55216

$1,042.00 - (Champag or Shimano) shipped. It takes 5 working days to get here (Standard shipping).

    CRC still cheaper. Sorry.

    • +1

      CRC still cheaper.

hopefully, they're a bit more honest about their advertising too…

      • Actually,
CRC are not allowed to ship Mavic outside of europe.

        • Although CRC advertise in Australian dollars, You will be charged in pounds and the banks exchange rate certainly won't be as good as what CRC advertise it to be.
        • Plus around a $20 transaction fee from your banke
        • Plus 10% Import duty(GST).

I think you would find that our price is actually quite a bit cheaper.

    • +3

hi mate, happy to proven wrong here but think you've overlooked the issue of GST and import duty on items over $1k….

      • +2

Yep, you are correct. I've forgotten about the GST (more than $1k). I stand corrected.

    • $100 more for australian warranty vs overseas warranty… wonder what I would choose…

    • The link has got cheaper: AU$1019.98.
      :)

    1 Day Only: $1,100.00 - Save $899!

    Please stop the BSHT ADVERTISING

Your price last week was $1399

    http://tinyurl.com/444ocvb

So the saving is $299 and NOT $899

I really hate deceptive and misleading advertising…

    • how do you do that (ie look into the past)
      sorry to get off topic…

      • +1

        Google cache.

    • -1

I hate when people do that…
Didn't they do it last time they had a "deal" as well?

    • +1

The advertised price is $1,100 - $899 off the Recomended retail price.

as we can all see from your link from last week. Our price was $1,399 and the recomended retail price was still $1,999

I'm not too sure what is so deceptive and misleading about this deal. we have wiped off an extra $200 our already unbelievable price for today only. Go into your loval biek store and i think you would expect to pay the full $1,999 for thsi product.

It is illegal to compare with the RRP when you do not normally sell the item at RRP…

I'm not too sure what is so deceptive and misleading about this deal.

Then read up on the Trade Practices Act… It specifically says that what you are doing is classified as deceptive and misleading advertising and is illegal against the Act…

        http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815334

        Misleading pricing
A trader risks breaching the law if it:
        * makes inaccurate or misleading price comparisons
Comparisons with the recommended retail price (RRP)

Advertising or promotions of 'savings' or 'discounts' on the RRP of goods and services are designed to convince you that you are getting a good deal because the price is less than the RRP.

If traders do not normally price their goods at the RRP, it may be misleading to give you the impression that they do.

        • +1

Surely the If traders do not normally price their goods at the RRP, it may be misleading to give you the impression that they do.
is the bit that needs highlighting if it is indeed from the Trade Practices Act…

        • +2

if it is indeed from the Trade Practices Act…

well, unless the ACCC is lying, the article i linked to refers to the Trade Practices Act 1974, (renamed the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 on 1-Jan-11)

          http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815335

        • Have to agree, i'm afraid. Misleading advertising = neg.

      • It's a pretty simple concept and it's a law for a reason. If you don't wish to abide by the law I'll be happy to submit an ACCC complaint about you, it only takes 2 minutes. Let me know what you would like to do. Cheers.

  • I am after some rims for a hybrid 37-622 is on the current tyres. What is the best for a mongoose crossway 300?

  • melbournebikes,

Is this wheelset for Champagnolo or Shimano? You didn't mention anything on your website.

    • This is for Shimano fit

  • +2

    Drool…..
    These are one sexy wheelset.
I used to dream about these.
Shame I'm on the MTB these days.
