did you happen to see the price for the other Samsung TV's? i got an emails saying they were all discounted but don't know the original price's.

The 55 7100 is 998. A long way off the 748 it was in Feb.

P7 is a better tv on paper - uled, 100hz and full array local dimming
Hisense also offers a 3 yr warranty
My experience with hisense TVs is they take a really long time to turn on from standby - worst I have seen is 90s, so try and play with one in a store and testing stuff like that and using the OSD before buying. YMMV of course.
My 65P7 takes a few seconds to boot.

Did you perchance note if the Tcl qled was in stock and on sale? Side by side in Costco it looked soooo much sweeter than the samsung
Overall I love this TV, i have the 55" version (back when they had the ebay 20% off down to ~$650) and I think value wise it's very good.
Thought I'd just point out that surprisingly this TV doesn't have bluetooth so you either need a bluetooth USB dongle to use a keyboard/mouse or you have to wire it via USB to the TV.
I bought this tv a month ago, and absolutely love it. The picture is crisp, smooth, and the menu's are very intuitive. Also, you can control the tv with your phone easily, however the stock remote is quite good. Able to pause netflix directly with the default button etc.
I bought it on buysmarte for $1300 delivered. Looks like the price has gone up to $1400 delivered. Still good though.
They delivered it literally 12 hours after I bought it. Insane.
