  • Based on the banner, 13+ meals are not on the website yet… I’d hold off ordering until they properly update it.

$20 delivery for Perth is a bummer

    • exactly, no deal for us then.

I went for 6 large meals. The slow-cooked lamb shanks family dinner pack (3 large meals) is $29.95 so I doubled on that, and with the discount code it came down to $34.90. It's one of my favorite meals from these guys.

      Shanks a lot for sharing

    • Lamb shanks one of my favourites too but tried the large version the other week and had less meat and more veggies. I might have just got unlucky. The Roast Lamb and veges is very good too.

  • Thanks - bought! Love the slow cooked lamb shanks and the dinner pack (for me) is great!

  • +1

    thanks bought ten.

What would it be like freezing these meals and taking out the night before?

    • +3

Some fare better than others, e.g. the lasagna is good; the fish, not so much.

    • I do this every time I order. As anthonettex has mentioned, some aren't great frozen.

    • +1

Definitely take them out the night before, for me flamin chicken comes out good (one of my favourite meals).

    • Yep. Routine behavior for me.

  • Nice, haven't had an order in a while. Love YF

  • I rate YouFoodz, it's much better than Muscle Chef!

  • oh ffs I ordered yesterday :(

    • Me too!! Twice!
Guess will just have to order more for later :)

  • Any mention of when this discount code expires? We're not due to order until the end of the week.

    • +1

Place an order and push the delivery date back.

  • Thanks a lot :)

  • Thanks OP got an order in.

  • this is a pretty dodgy company. They're marketing weight loss and 'clean' eating but these meals are full of absolute shit and sodium.
Wouldn't be surprised to see action taken against them soon.
Anyway, if you enjoy the food and it's a bargain in your eyes, go for it- just don't fall for their healthy marketing shit.

      They're marketing weight loss

If you look at their portion sizes, you wouldn't disagree. :)

I’ve lost 95+ kg eating Youfoodz in conjunction with calorie counting. I can say with conviction, at least when I started it, that it was healthy eating. Now some of the meals have way too much calories for the size.

      • that's great. I just don't agree with their claims about promoting 'clean' eating. But seriously, congratulations, that takes a lot of sweat and discipline. Congrats.

        • I just don't agree with their claims about promoting 'clean' eating.

What is clean eating? Isn't it just unprocessed or minimally-processed food? Looking at their clean eating range, is it not clean compared to typical restaurant food?

          They're marketing weight loss

Good to see you changed your mind about the weight loss part.

          • @eug: They're marketing weight loss through clean eating. Most of their meals have a similar level of sodium and added preservatives to freezer supermarket food.

I hope I haven't crushed your youfoodz dreams or something. Have a look at the ingredients and preservatives of their meals.

They're marketing weight loss through clean eating.

              Looks like it works?

Most of their meals have a similar level of sodium and added preservatives to freezer supermarket food.

You seem to be looking at their regular menu when talking about clean eating. Shouldn't you be looking at their clean meals menu? Of course their regular menu would be less healthy than their clean meals menu.

They also have a clean eating meal plan. It takes two to tango though; if you try to follow their clean eating meal plan but find that you're still hungry then proceed to snack on something else, then of course it's not going to work.

In any case, their regular menu options come in small portions. You can lose weight with tasty food, you just have to eat less of it.

              • @eug: Take a look at their 'clean' nutritional numbers.
And on the YouFoodz delivery box it says 'clean eating and weight loss'.
My point is that they market all their food as healthy when it clearly isn't.

Compare the ingredients of some of their recipes from they first started to now. The original recipes were much, much healthier. Now they've established their brand, they've gone to larger/mass production and interstate delivery and thus have added way more sodium, way more preservatives and way more additives, flavors, colours etc…

        • One things for certain - their ingredients list for some of the foods is shockingly bad. Compare it to Thr1ve or Freshmeals2u and it’s clear who is more manufactured and has more concerning ingredients. Freshmeals2u overall is the best for weight loss and quality however it’s the constant offers from Youfoodz that tempt me. I’m worried that Freshmeals2u won’t resume shipping to Sydney at this point, which would be a darn shame. I don’t like the lack of discounts, but the meals are way more substantial and honestly the taste of some of the dishes are restaurant quality.

          • @auna: First time i've heard of these guys. Freshmeals2u do not currently deliver to Sydney and Melb due to transport issues. Was thinking to try them out, prices seem to be same as YF normal price before discount.

  • Just an FYI for people - I am usually a fan of YF but the order I received earlier this week, 4 out of 6 items incorrect. One item packaging cracked pretty obviously. Order left in public area. Delivery guys completely ignored instructions.
Wasnt even notified that the items would be changed. Also, when contacting the YF team they said they are doing menu update this week, so I may hold off till then if I decide to place another order.

  • It’s $8.24 for Perth . For the size of airplane food not sure if it’s worth it . $5.37 would be much better . Can’t really decide if i should order or not .

  • The $8.95/meal offer goes to 26 March.
Anyone know when the discount code expires?

  • Request to neg as no love for Perth

And we don't get to go to Little Creatures after work. So you win some, you lose some.

  • Has anyone got confirmation email from Youzfoodz? Haven't heard from them since I placed the order early this morning.

    • I got one straight away. Is it listed under your orders in your account?

      • I don't have account. But I always got confirmation emails from them whenever I made an order in the past. I took screenshot when I placed the order so hopefully that will help if something goes wrong.

The menu change is happening tomorrow with change over 'first thing' accord to the rep I chatted with, so I'd hold off till then in case there's tasty new meals

  • Thanks OP! This is better (depending on how much you spend of coarse) than the 20% off they txt me (existing cust).

  • People holding off, and BOOM tomorrow its expired! Don't be surprised lol!

  • Thanks OP! Working from home next week - lunch sorted!

  • +1

Website updated today - banner says 9 new meals, of which I can see 8 with the 'new' icon in the image corner.

  • Thanks for the code, lunch and dinner sorted.

  • I just noticed they've reduced some of the meals to $7.95. If you pick any of those though you only have a choice of Sunday and Monday for delivery.

  • Looks like its expired now, can't apply code

    • I literally placed an order not 30 mins ago. I think being able to get the $7.95 meals set them off. $4.82 a meal is the cheapest ever for me!

  • Seems to be no working codes at the moment

  • -1

Every new meal has "Contains Flavour Enhancer (635)" and some form of sugar; brown, caster.
    Disappointing.

  • When I asked their online chat about why the coupon WEGOTYOUFOODZ suddenly expired, they stated as follows:

"Unfortunately, that code has been removed from our site as it was leaked onto sites such as OzBargain. Unfortunately, we do not advertise any discounts on external sites."
