Noticed that Amazon AU dropped the price of the new 2nd gen Sonos One. With Cashrewards that will bring the price down to $255.55, which is pretty close to the 1st gen Sonos One offered by Videpro currently. Needless to say I jumped in.

They are even better when 2 are paired with a sub and play bar :)

    • Do you know if this improve free-to-air Tv/ spotify /netflix or will it just be beneficial with a bluray player, i got playbar already and thinking of adding the sonos ones

      • I don't have a bluray just use netflix/kayo/apple tv apps and free to air/ apple music. Get a sub too great home theatre set up with the play ones at rear. Have been using it for years never a problem.

  • Is google assistant baked in yet?

    • No

    • Doesn't it use Alexa ?

      • They said it would feature both (plus Siri via Airplay2) when they announced it over a year ago. So far they’ve only released Alexa. I’m waiting for google as Alexa in Australia sucks imo

        • They have Airplay 2 built in. You can use Siri on your Apple device and get it to play music on the Sonos. I don’t think they were ever planning to have Siri built into the device directly though.

          • @Hargain Bunter: Yeah that’s what I said, the problem is the Google integration that was promised ages ago still hasn’t arrived

  • Is it possible to use the mic for speaker phone calls?

  • Back to $299 for me. Shame

    • White is still $269
