The ultra light down is a good versatile jacket for most of the year. Light and comfy enough to work as a thin airy jacket on an autumn day (as long as you dont zip it up), insulated and thin enough to work as an extra layer in winter, whether it's over a jumper or under another jacket. Plus it rolls up small enough to carry in a backpack without getting in the way of other things.

The price though, geez. I think I got mine overseas for around half of this price. I always thought uniqlo maintained a similar price across markets, but it looks like that doesn't apply so much to some of the outerwear. Jeans and shirts are still good though. Maybe they don't expect to sell as much winter gear in Aus

welcome to the island of Australia!

      • Plenty of factors for higher prices here. Some warranted, some not so much.

Why is the Men's Merino Sweater $10 more than the Women's?
Is it because of the 'gender pay gap'?
