      Really though? I'm excited for another game in the series too but it's literally the exact same as Borderlands 2. Keen to discover what's new and hopefully more restrained dlc/microtransactions..

        Why, because the art style isn't hyper realistic? You would want them to change it just to satisfy the people that only care about graphics? It wouldn't be borderlands anymore. Instead of having hyper realistic graphics, they are sticking with the same art style but adding more detail to the game.

        As long as the game isnt a live service destiny clone, it will be amazing.

          Err no. I didn't mention the art style at all. It's definitely unique and defines the Borderlands series. No reason to change it.

          I'm talking about the same premise, same baddies, same million versions of same weapon, same everything really. There wasn't anything fresh or new to excite at all (apart from the fact we're getting another Borderlands game which is great in itself and NO battle royale which is even better).

            @Hybroid: Sorry for being a bit agressive with that, I'm seeing too many people complaining about that. I think gearbox will add enough for the gameplay to feel new and exciting. Even in the trailer they showed off quite a few new enemies. They strongly hinted at there being multiple worlds in the trailer also, so expect really diverse areas. Gun variety should be increased massivley over borderlands 2 also. We'll find out more on April 3, I expect them to show off most of the new features then.

            @Hybroid: My wishlist for the new game:

            • Better movement as the original games feels very slow with clunky jumping and not much variety (no sliding, wall run, climbing up ledges, etc).
            • Less invisible walls everywhere stopping you from getting onto the terrain as you fought with them constantly during vehicle sections or "open world" platforming.
            • Bigger environments since we aren't tied to first gen console memory limitations and there was too many load screens in the originals.
            • Better gun handling as they all felt pretty boring and samey in the original games.
            • Better drop system as you got sooo much trash gear.
            • More graphics options on PC (FoV slider!!)
            • No/hardly any fetch quests as like 90% of the missions on BL1/2 are just walking back and forth over the same space making them feel like a poor mans RPG.
            • Better writing as the storyline was pretty bland in both games and there was a lot of forced humor to try and distract from this that ended up just falling flat.
            • More co-op interaction of character powers to encourage more communication/timing of the abilities.

              @Agret: Hey that's a nice wishlist, I'll add some of mine:

              • When they show cutscenes, if there's only one player in the game(or less than 4), they should only show that one (or however many) player and whatever character he/she chose so it fits into lore, otherwise it just looks out of place when you're shown a cutscene where all 4 characters are there but you're only lone wolfing it…… What if you're playing with a friend who chose the same character as you? Maybe a have all cutscenes compensates of these varieties of character placements…..
              • Allow the player to pick the difficulty on first run, so you can choose to go straight to playing Ultimate Vault Hunter mode for that challenge rather than waiting to beat the game first in normal mode, then True Vault Hunter mode and finally get your jab at the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode and unless you don't have anything else to go on, by this time you're probably bored and just wanna play something else……because the grind is real…..especially on the harder difficulties….and since I like to loot the area clean 100% as best I can(If these bodies let you loot their clothes and armours, I will leave them naked on the desert…and sell their gear to get some moolah or chuck them in storage for later…), it takes even longer than say someone who's just speedrunning to get the fastest completion time or just can't be bothered to explore every nook and cranny….
              • Enable console be default with more commands, such as fly or ghosting and hide weapon or holster it so it's not in the way, for when I just wanna admire the scenery and take quality wallpaper screenshots….or to just share this shot looks cool, funny or whatever….
              • Mouse sensitivity between 0 and 100. previously was locked to 10 and had to console command it if you want to access anything less than 10…..
              • Disable(Or at least be able to customize this bit) mouse drive on vehicles….seriously that's so console…….I play it on PC for a reason, keyboard + mouse master race! ……prefer to use the keyboard keys to control the direction of where the vehicle is turning so I can leave my mouse for free look or aiming the 50 cal turret that's on top of the runner or what have you.

              I think that's it……

      I remember when this first came out, you could copy and paste saved profiles out from the game folder, open the crate with all your gold keys, then restore the profile and the golden keys, and keep the weapons and gear.

      There were a ton of people with purple gear running around everywhere when all I had was green / blue

        According to the 2k store, "Initial installation requires one-time Internet connection for Steam authentication.

        If you already own Borderlands or Borderlands GOTY on Steam, you have already been granted this product on your Steam account at no extra cost. Please do not repurchase Borderlands GOTY Enhanced."

        Not clear if it's a patch or new download but PC Gamer offers a bit more info:

        "The most important detail for PC players, as mentioned, is that owners of the original Borderlands on Steam will get the upgraded version for free (obviously you'll have to buy the game otherwise). You don't need to own the DLC to get this new edition, either—just the base game. I double-checked this with 2K. If you never tried the first game's expansions, now you can without paying an extra penny."

        Either way it sounds like a true OzBargain for those who have the original game.

      I just downloaded the Handsome Collection on my PS4 and the 4K pack will be very welcome. It hasn’t aged well on a modern screen. When I played this through on my PS3, it was only on a 720p screen - now on a 4K one the inventory management screens look terrible. The patch/mod will be brilliant.

    I remember the loot from keys being inferior to loot from bosses. I never got orange gear from one of those keys.

      Heuristic analysis which means a false positive, normal for the paid AV programs to throw up fake alerts constantly to make you feel like they are doing something :)
