  • Amazing price. Thanks for sharing.

nope never compromise on safety! all Indonesian Airlines with the exception of GAruda and blacklisted by EU as non complaint to safety standards!

    • You’re more likely to die of a shark attack or bee sting. Thanks

    • +3

Or…. You realise that an airline can't make a profit when they have planes that crash!

Also I searched the EU banned airlines and Malindo were not on them.

Also I have been on Malindo Air and did not crash! First hand experience. Hahaha

        • +5

You blatantly lie about the airlines being blacklisted by the EU and then go on some sort of conspiracy rant and say that you are an engineer and trust science. It's sad people are upvoting your scaremongering lies.

For you to rag on Malindo, but use the unsafe whipping horse Garuda as an example of who you should fly with, to me means to me that you have no idea what you are talking about:
          http://www.airsafe.com/events/airlines/garuda.htm

So Mr. Engineer who believes in science, how the hell do you trust an airline (Garuda) with hundreds and hundreds of fatalities over the years over an airline that has had 0 (Malindo)?

As a qualified scientist who believes in engineering, I don't trust liars (you), I trust statistics.

          • -8

@c0balt: simply compare the number of flights and passengers and fatalities.
Size of Malindo Air and Garuda!.

            You gotta be joking !
            good luck with flying Malindo!!)))

            • +3

@PaperplaneXXX: Yeah I'm simply comparing 0 fatalities that Malindo has had with the hundreds that Garuda has had along with your lies about EU blacklisting Malindo.

I don't need luck, I have statistics on my side rather than loaded insinuations.

              • -6

@c0balt: have you studied at the UNI?
compare the number of passengers carried! for both airlines…
                why some people are idiots!!!

                • +4

@PaperplaneXXX: Yes, I'm literally a qualified scientist and statistics was one of the subjects I took.

I know a few engineers, which is why I don't doubt you are one, you guys tend to have a few screws loose.

If you compare 0 fatalities over x amount of flights, it's still 0 fatalities per flight. It doesn't matter the number of passengers carried. Surely you would know such basic math, being an engineer and all?

                  • +1

                    @c0balt: 😂😂😂

                  • @c0balt: The engineer is too busy working on the Opal Tower in Sydney :)

            • +3

@PaperplaneXXX: @Furan… Do you own a competing airline or something?

              • @SnakeCasablanca: He's a troll living in Opal Tower.

        • +1

You can reply on Autopilot, its called Autoreply…

        • borderline racist language too

    • Malindo is Malaysian registered and don't have a bad safety record yet. Yes they are owned by an Indonesian airline but that doesn't make Malindo an Indonesian airline.

Personally I wouldn't fly Lion Air but I would consider Malindo or Thai Lion Air.

    • Malindo is not banned by the EU - get your facts right.

Australia is probably the most anal country going when it comes to air safety. Malindo would not be allowed to operate here if they were in any way breaching CASA regulations.

  • +1

I think these might have been Ozbargained - tried a few of the cheapest dates and could only find fares for about $400 return. Great deal tho

    • same here.

  • +1

Anyone know if these guys use Boeing 737 Max 8?

    • +1

The only carrier flying into Australia with the 737 Max 8 was Fiji Airways I believe - and they have obviously moved their fleet around to change this.

      • +2

Malindo is the launch customer for the 737 Max 8. There's always a chance that one would get shuffled into Australia routes in the future when it returns to service

        • I think I'm forever put off by them, regardless of whether they fix it or not

        • Lion was the launch customer for Max 8 I thought?

Likewise I thought Malindo operate 737NGs and don't yet have any MAXs….

      • +2

Say my name say my name
        You’re acting kinda shady
        Ain’t Calling Malindo baby
        The price no gonna change

  • +2

looks like Malindo is owned by Lion Air….hmmmmm

    • -4

exactly! Lion Air engineers service those planes!

      • +4
