This is sort of in the middle of now where.

If you don't need much space, wouldn't a various flash/ssd be better at carrying around.

If you want space, wouldn't the 3TB at 99 dollar be much better value?

Is there a better 1TB option you can offer ? Or in similar price range ?

      • +1

exactly the point, 2TB for $80 & 3TB for $110 are much better value.

        • Where is the 2TB for $80?

    • +2

This is the most storage you can get for $49 if you don't need flash drive portability.

For portability, officeworks has a 128GB USB 3.0 sandisk for $49

I can think of a few people who need more than 128GB but don't need portability or a 3TB option

      • Exactly, i'm going to pick one up to use for my Wii U, definitely don't need a 1TB but price wise you're looking at the same price for a decent flash drive under that size.

    • I need any drive of 500gb-1tb for photo backups. Would appreciate any recommendations better than this one.

  • Officeworks link if you want to pricematch

    • they are at $68?

      • I think urban means you could price match with Harvey if you'd like to pick up from Officeworks.

Sorry i meant pricebeat at Officeworks Officeworks should do it for $46.55 ;)

the 1TB is 69-79 everywhere else, the 3tb has been at 99 since last year.
    never seen 1tb at $49

  • Great for Topfield PVRs.

    Purchased two. Free delivery ;)

    Thanks OP.

    • I have had 2 SEAGATE drives fail on me in last 5 years… wouldn’t go with Seagate again for that reason alone…

      • I'm with you on Seagate. No issues with anything else.

      • Funny why would some members give you a neg for sharing your opinion on a product quality…

These are in a funny place.

Value wise for 1TB it's good but they aren't one you will want to use that frequently. More to back up extra stuff you don't want to delete but aren't that important. Things like movies.

I wouldn't be using this for backing up special photos, important documents for that meeting etc.

damn i got one this morning for $59 at JB Hifi. Part of me wants that $10, but part of me doesn't want Gerry Harvey to get any of my money.

    Western Digital? No thank you.

  • The 2TB 2.5" portable with 3 year warranty is $79 at Umart.com.au

  • Got mine today, deal is still going, not expired. Just needed a cheap hd to store my rendered videos, works great, no complaints.
