  Another option is to buy a top end shaver from Amazon USA and save mega bucks.

  I paid $99US for a Panasonic ES8243A shaver http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DKMY9Q at Christmas and used www.shipito.com for freight forwarding to Oz.

  At current pricing it would be about $119US (use free 2 day USA shipping) + $45 US delivery (2-5 business days) = $164US = $155 AUD delivered within a week. To purchase the same unit here it costs $430 from The Shaver Shop.:

    How do you recharge the unit? Do you have to buy some kind of power converter? If so, how much does it add to the price?

  most new shavers are dual voltage(110/220) so you only need a pin adapter worth $2
  ok so you can get the saver cheap, but what about replacement blades/foils? one reviewer said;
  Another future problem with the 4-blade system is that you'll want to buy a new shaver when your blades and foil need to be replaced. What kind of an idiot is going to spend 80% of the cost of a new shaver just to get a set of new cutter blades and foil?
  so you don't use it everyday only occasionally to save wear & tear and use another shaver, like the free schick hydo5 they were giving away by the bucket loads not so long ago!

  You can buy the shaver alone for $26 from Amazon and you can pick up a decent trimmer for the same price. I'd suggest this is not a great deal.
