Legend! Appreciate the info and time spent replying!

  • Would anyone happen to know the minimum income required for this card? Thanks in advance!

    • Click on the link to go to Wespac page. You will see all the terms and conditions there.

  • Offer now seems to be valid until 16th of June instead of 2nd of June as per OP.

Side note, I got conditionally approved within 5 min - existing Westpac customer.

    • Likewise.

However, I keep receiving SMS reminders to upload Income documents (which I've already done.)

      • Uploaded them again anyway, received Doc Upload confirmation email
      • Checked Westpac Internet Banking shows 80% progress, CC Order pages: still shows Income docs are still required.

Wonder if it won't change until they've verified

  • Applied last Thursday, received full approval 10 minutes ago

  • Applied last Wednesday. Received the card today.

    Few irritations:
    - For a non-Westpac banking customer, it seems like the only way to pay off the card is to register an account from which they will direct-debit each month. Three options: Full amount, partial % amount or minimum balance. Doesn't look to be an option of manual triggering the payment.
    - In order to register the account for direct-debit (as above) you need to print a form, fill it and go into a branch to hand it in. They will then do an identity check and add it to your account. Who-the-f has time to do all this or even would provide the wrong details for direct debit that they need to do an ID-check?
    - Online banking and app seem clunky and unintuitive, nowhere near the slick-ness of Macquarie or ING.
    - Password (online banking) can only be 6 chars. In this day and age?!?!!
    - Not sure how they notify on transactions (SMS, mobile app notification). Certainly, didn't come across the option in settings for either.

Definitely not keeping this after the 3k is done and points received.

Except your 1st point, I totally agreed. Westpac & its cousin bank St George both still in dark ages.

As for paying from another non-WP account, just use BPAY. Biller code is 5181 (https://www.finder.com.au/westpac-credit-card-repayments and Ref no is your Credit card number. Do a test by paying with $0.10 or $1 to make sure correct.

      • Thank you for this, very handy

      • There are charges for BPAY afaik. Happy to be corrected.

        • I think you get charge when use BPay to pay your 28 degree CC. I think they the only one that doing that. Not with WP, St George, and many others.

          • @timhn: Yea my assumption of charged BPAY was based on my experience with 28 degrees :-p

        • Thanks @starbearer, always good to check.

I just confirmed with Westpac Live Chat - No BPAY Payment fees.

The BPAY Payment is free of charge and just to set your expectations, there may be sometimes that the payment will reflect within 3 business days maximum so I would suggest for you to make the payment at least 3 days prior to your payment due to avoid late payment fees and interest.

          • @sssbp: That's great. Thanks for confirming. Can't edit my post above.

  • So is the $50 fee still charged?

  • Anyone know how to
    - check your QFF points earned via Westpac internet banking?
    - check which QFF is assigned to your card?

    • You can try the webchat with them.

Or see that in the monthly statement.

  • Anyone received the points because it didn’t come with my monthly points…

    • They told me in branch that it takes 90 days post reaching the spend.

      • They'll credit at the statement day when you met the requirement on that month.

Found it out today on my Qantas account and saw 60K+ from Wespac. Check Westpac and see that the statement day on Mon and I meet the spending requirement that month.

        • I met the spending requirement on the first month (bang on $3k), and nothing. It took me several follow ups last time I had a Westpac card. Seems it's just inconsistent results.

    • I hit spend last month and just saw the points hit my account this week.

    • Just got the points today, hit the spend last month, and they came through on the second month's statement.

  • I just called Westpac - they said bonus points are sent: the month you meet min. spend PLUS 3 months.

    ie,
    - meet minimum spend on within Month #1
    - Statement #4 will have the bonus points
