Universal Studios Japan Tickets

Hi all,

Can anyone share their experience with getting tickets and express passes to Universal Studios Japan? Any recommendations? There are quite a few suppliers at different price points and heaps of different ticket types available.

E.g.

https://www.klook.com/
https://www.govoyagin.com/
https://www.kkday.com/

Trying to get tickets for April 25th if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

Allen

I bought tickets via Klook last year. Very easy process.
All the difference tickets types are relating to the express passes I believe?
You will need to buy a general admission ticket as a base and an express pass if you don't want to wait in lines.
Not sure about April period, but when I went in January last year I was glad I got the express pass as the wait for the rides were 2-3hours, while express passes got me on in about 10-15 minutes.

I 2nd Klook.. is probably the best in Asia for buying any tickets/activity… and if there is a problem they are the easiest to refund or exchange.

      • klook currently have cashback through cashrewards of 15%, and $5 off min spend $40 (for new customers) using code "KLKCRAUS" (ends wed night).

    • Seconding Klook. Pretty smooth experience with customer service too in the few times I had to contact them. Kkday is also okay.

    • +1 on Klook that's how I bought mine.

Turned out I couldn't fit on half the rides as I was too tall for the harness thingies so I wasted my money but that's another story.

If you go on the Japanese site of USJ you’ll be able to purchase express pass tickets there. Use google chrome to help with translation, I had no problems purchasing and using the tickets. Have a look at this website if you need a walkthrough.
If you didn’t know, there’s different versions of express pass so have a look at the ride options and pick which one you prefer most.

  • i bought mine from KKday last year from this deal which worked out to be US$40 for 2 adults + 2 children.

but that was a freakishly cheap deal

  • Avoid weekends at all cost & express pass is a must

  • Yeah I also bought from their website using google chrome translate. From experience, most of the rides have a single rider queue which was relatively short wait IF you don't mind single ride… however the only ride that has super long line even on the single rider queue is the Pterodactyl (Flying Dinosaur) ride, so if I had to buy again I would choose one that gives express access to this ride. Btw I was there on Christmas time so relatively high season.

  • I purchased my Klook 2 weeks ago whilst i was in Japan. Took a matter of minutes to receive my tickets.

I went on a Wednesday and 90% queues were at least 2 hours long. Completely ruined my experience.

    Thanks for the comments all.

Did a bit of comparison from the suggestions for what I was after (including the flying dinosaur ride).

    Klook Voyagin USJ
    Universal Studios Japan 1 Day Ticket $93.51 $97.30 $93.14
    Universal Studios Japan Express™ Pass 4 $114.58 $134.77 $122.09
    Universal Studios Japan Express™ Pass 7 $178.58 $203.80 $156.07

Went with USJ, albeit a long process! Thank you!

    • Does USJ refer to buying direct from the park?

  • And also wow is it expensive.. Believe this is more expensive than the US in Orlando.

I bought my tickets from their official website. Just write Universal Studios Japan on Google and you will find the English page. Tickets aren't cheap but trust me, it's completely worth it. My kids loved the experience! Universal Studios features rides and attractions based on such popular films as Jurassic Park, Spiderman, Back to the Future, Terminator and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The family area Universal Wonderland is also a great attraction for families.
