  I like the concept of this, for use when on a casual ride and also when commuting.
  I don't know enough about the specs to know if it would produce the promised results (video quality, storage capacity, etc).

  I just don't do enough cycling these days to warrant that much $

  Rainproof? Kind of important for a cycling use in locations where it can start to rain during a ride. If the electronics fry you're left with a helmet on the heavy side.
