For all you Roger Federer fans out there. Historical low price for this racquet I believe (as he's reverted to his preferred all-black paintjob) - but an absolute steal at $135 (previous RRP $349.95).

Delivery is free for purchases > $150, so you could also throw in a RF hat (also on sale for $22.95) for further hero worship (and free delivery!)

Note: this is quite a heavy racquet and is not usually recommended for players new to tennis or with existing arm/elbow problems. Thankfully, the lighter Pro Staff 97L (with the same paintjob) can also be had for the same price!

      You are a champ. Was looking at buying a raquet currently on sale for $199 with code $120. I thought stuff it I'll try some shoes as well not on sale but $189 rrp and and hey Presto it worked

    Im after a racquet after 15 years of not playing. Is the RF97L still a solid deal at $135? Was planning on spending $200-$250 on a Wilson during a Rebel Sports sale as i have giftcards. Should i pull the trigger on this deal?

      Spend the money on buying some nice Slazenger all court balls at Rebel. Save the money here.

      If you play at a decent level you'll be changing balls every few sets anyway.

      its a good flagship racquet but because its a replica of federers own racquet its a tough racquet to play with from what ive seen

        I would know, I use a ProStaff 90.

        RF97L should be very forgiving, relative to Federer racquets.

      Nope. Federer only recently switched to the RF97 (97"). Before he was using a Pro Staff 90".

          There are certainly benefits/disadvantages to bigger head sizes.

          It's more about whether or not those are complimentary to the way you play or not.

          Smaller racquets have better control. Bigger ones have a larger sweetspot/power and are more forgiving if you hit off-centre.

    Just signed up to say this is a hell of a deal. Tenniswarehouse/tennisonly do run solid discounts on good racquets every now and then. Most people don't have the strength to handle the heavier autograph RF racquet, so most would be well advised to go for the lighter version. If you're just paddling around you probably won't encounter it but after hours of heavy hitting you will notice the weight of the heavier version in your shoulder and arm if you're not an experienced player with good technique and in decent shape.
