    Email doesn't list any participating venues, and the website doesn't clearly identify them either. Hey You's marketing is an ongoing joke.

      I think there's a secret industry strategy in Australia to make marketing feel rushed and apps half-finished. McDonalds admitted their app was a flop in 2015 (!!!) (https://mumbrella.com.au/kelloggs-warms-to-data-but-insists-…) and this month is the first time that my Android version has had a functional login process.

      How many people like it that their location hasn't auto-updated upon opening the app in several years so that they're forced to use the map if they're normal people that change their position on earth. Or that they can't find a cafe that doesn't open until 7 am on Monday but is at the top of the list. So they go to the map but still have to focus all the way in on the nested markers to find out the cafes are closed. I think Hey You realise it looks bad having nothing on a map so they're betting on "fake it 'til you make it".

      The only other plausible explanation is that they can't be bothered paying for a developer to fix the bugs since 90% of the developers are working on a new version. I found this was the case when I complained to a few other Australian startups. But that's not an excuse for withholding information in emails. Maybe the clients are slow to give the go-ahead with all these promos??

      Or it's proof that you shouldn't outsource your entire on-line operation to Manila.

      The 50c cashback is unlimited and the $2 cashback with any purchase is one time use only (for clarification).

    Forgive my ignorance but how do you use the Hey You (app on my phone) together with Shopback (on my laptop internet browser) to claim the cashback?

      You will need to have shopback and hey you Apps on phone. If you tap on Hey you through shopback App, it will automatically take you to Hey you App.

      Haven't found (or noone's reported) an excluded store that sells hot chocolate in Sydney.
      So I can't say for certain but quite sure there should be plenty around that accept it.

      Between 10 - 4 they had about 5 stores mentioned in the "What's happening" section for Sydney, most if not all in the CBD. I searched for "hot chocolate" in that period and my random store didn't have a discounted price in the menu, which was where I moved on.

        Price will most likely discount in cart.
        Eg with their "$2 Hot Drinks!" promotions, you had to add it to cart to see discount.

    You can search '1hotchoc' to show the eligible venues! I clicked on a notif and it had it in the search bar. Discount shows in cart.

    Of all the hey You venues in North Sydney, only 2 are participating in this offer. Of these, Piccolo Me always seems to be offline leaving 'Fox & Sparrow' at 100 Arthur Street as the only real participant.

      Just keep in mind the offline tag on the menu itself doesn't always mean much. You can often check out fine if it says "OPEN" on the front screen (I just had the same issue at another store). Just add it to my long list of unresolved complaints.

      At other times, you'll see places tagged online that no longer use Hey You!
