Spotted this in Banggood's coupon feed. Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One phone (currently officially updated to 9.0 Pie) was US $199.99, use coupon code 4BGA24CC to get $50 off, and

  $199.99
 - $50.00 (coupon discount)
 + $2.30 (shipping)
 + $15.23 (GST)
---------
  $167.52 (USD)
  $235.40 (AUD via MC FX)

A bit cheaper than a week ago. Probably not the most featured packed Chinese-phone at this price range, but Xiaomi phones are well constructed, and it's on Android One programme to receive OTA updates. No band28 & no NFC would be an issue for some. GSM Arena, Xiaomi official page.

        • The Mi A2 would have been on my buy list too if it had a 4000 mAh battery. The Poco wins out for me as I have a Redmi Note 5, the Poco seems like more of an upgrade. Apart from Android One, SD660, better low light camera and USB C the rest of the A2 is a downgrade for me with the loss of 3.5, SD and 1k battery. The Poco has all of those!

        • had of seen

          "had have seen", you mean.

  • Hey smarter people than me, does the a2 compare with Xiaomi Mi Play Global Version https://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Mi-Play-Global-Version-5_84-… at US $159 with coupon? I like that its smaller. Thanks

    • It doesn't have a Snapdragon chipset so it is not as good

I can't recommend this phone. Got one for my grandmum in November. It bootlooped yesterday (after an update probably) and it won't respond to fastboot or boot into recovery.

If you google "Xiaomi A2 stuck on Android logo" you'll get many similar anecdotes.

    • omg another screwup from xiaomi ?

i thought it's only the january update

  • Bought. Can't wait. Still rocking my Redmi 4x.

  • +1

I just want a 6.5" screen, battery over 4000mah, b28 if possible, decent camera, 6gb or 4gb minimum ram around $400

    • +1

I want too.. but I am less optimistic at this price. Lolz

      Mi Max 3

  • It looks like only blue and rose gold remaining. I wonder if they'll have black in stock again before the sale ends.

  • +2

I bought this phone back in November but slightly expensive around 285ish. Far better than my previous s8.

  • No MFC suppoted

  • Xiaomi just launched their Australian store … Worth comparing prices ?

  • Is it running a dodgy Chinese ROM?

  • Shiiiiiiiiit.. bought in kogan last week for 327$.. having said that i need it before end of may.. so this deal wouldn't be helpful for me (fastest shipping is 7-15 business days) considering the holidays season i don't expect it to be early :(

With the 10% site wide discount on catch.com.au marketplace seller comes to $220.77 shipped at https://www.catch.com.au/product/xiaomi-mi-a2-dual-sim-4gb-6…

    • Bagged one :)

      • Aren't those the 'lite' versions?

        • +1

Nope proper A2s although $220 for a lite version isn't bad if you want 4000mAh battery. Lasts me 1 day and a half with medium use.

But for an extra few bucks worth it for the A2 with the Snapdragon 660.

    • Is there a coupon to apply? I can't seem to find it. The link you posted just goes to the homepage for me :(

      • 10% off sale finished

        • Ahhh daam, thanks for letting me know!

  • This. Easy a2 deal. Good post scotty.

Cheaper than most a1s for the same specs. Although I personally couldn't find that big a difference with a1 v a2 based on prior costs (about $290 for a 2 i saw)…
