        Purely for ease of integration, I was looking at the Samsung HW-N950. It’s been available for less than $1000 and I’m fairly confident that it will be again.

        What’s your thoughts on this unit and have you got anything comparable for similar money?

          Looks like a decent enough unit, and I'm sure it would integrate with your ssung tv well. however as with all soundbars, I would do a proper system if possible, starting with something like the rxv 685 and adding maybe the nsp350 speaker pack to begin as a 3 channel system. The sound quality overall will always be better with a separate component system. Cheers

                @gasman70: I bought the YSP2700 and very happy with it. It depends on how fussy you are, it wont be as good as a true 5.1

      Hi Danger, you should be able to with Samsung's "anynet" feature and connecting the soundbar via HDMI to the ARC port. Hope this helps, cheers

    I have had nothing but trouble with this soundbar and my hisense P7.

    The remote is the same frequency at the TV remote so you can't change volume on soundbar while using Netflix or YouTube. You can get around this by using ARC over hdmi but even then half the time you turn on the TV it doesn't connect to sound bar properly. It's really just a shit combination

      That's unfortunate to hear. The YAS108 is a good soundbar for the money, however most of the times we run into issues with HDMI ARC it is to do with the TV. I find my LG OLED to be one of the best to work with ARC on my yamaha AVR, even other top tier TV brands like panasonic can from time to time have some issues with HDMI ARC. The only thing I could suggest in your situation is maybe a logitech harmony remote. Cheers

        Agree, have This same combo. The only strange thing is that you can't change the sound profile while connected via HDMI ARC. E.g. to change from default to movie profile I needed to first change output back to TV, change mode, then Change output again.

    I recently purchased a YSP2700 after selling my house and losing my theatre room and 9.2 system…. due to space (and wife) restrictions I could not integrate any of my old gear. So after looking at various units I decided on the Yammie and am happy for what it is.

    Is it as good as true separate components? Nope, but for the $$ and the compact size etc. it sounds fantastic and am happy with it so far. The surround

    The other bonus with is is that it's got 3 HDMI in's and it passes full 4k 2.2 signals, does DTS and Dolby ARC control etc.

    And if you feel the need, you can hook a second sub to the unit to take care of really low LFE signals etc. and it works really well!
