Great for people who needed a stopover on their way to Europe.

Can recommend Rove chain of hotels, very good. Etihad is currently offering 2 free nights in Abu Dhabi as an alternative.

Tried to book and it only lets you choose DXB as the destination. Can this be used on Stopover to Europe if I can't enter any other airport?

I recommend either going to the Souks or doing the 4 wheel desert drive that ends up with a feast. Don’t go during Ramadan.

I'm pretty sure back in 2011, I flew with Emirates from PER-DXB-MAD and had stop over for 18 hours, they gave me hotel for free.

I wonder have they changed the rules for long stop over.
