Can this slot into where my hard disk would go?

Would most likely need a 3.5" to 2.5" drive caddy/bracket.

The connector is exactly the same, its just the drive is a lot smaller physically.

        Thanks for the info.

My hard disk just died and luckily there's an SSD as the second drive so I lost all my files but the laptop is still running.

I wonder if it's worth buying a second drive if all that it will do is store files?

        Is this a good price?

Yeah this is certainly a good price. This particular model usually comes down to the $90 mark fairly often.

1TB models from Seagate and sometimes samsung have come down to $150-180 before too.

But if your not looking to spend that much or need that much space - this is a good choice for sure. Can always add another later down the track and 'pool' them together to make a 960GB volume.

I love using these in laptops. No drive shock!
