  • Asus U31F-11YR RX132V is only $719 on their website. Where did you get that $799 from? But I am not impressed at this online price.

    • Hrmm that's odd. As I said, I'm getting our store prices from the printed catalogue we got for the sale. If it's cheaper on our Dick Smith site we usually can match it - I'm not there in the store right now (will be for late night tonight) to confirm that for you though. :S

    • +1

Really? That's the cheapest I've ever seen it, considering jb had it two weeks ago for $808 and onlinecomputer is selling the lower model for $791 (posted a couple days ago).

  • Beat me to it! Got the SANDISK 4GB USB key. Pretty cool.

    • Haha niiiice :) I should get some more myself so I have a couple more tiny USB keys to lose/ "lend" to friends. :/

  • 50" VIVO plasma TV ( GE6161 ) $555
$527.25 after woolies staff discount pretty cheap. (assuming you can use the discount as usual)??

    • Yeah you can use your card. I know I would. Please don't whip it out at the checkout just after we've put together an awesome deal though, that's kinda poor form. :o

      • You can do that?!?!

        • Hmm. Well usually you should always be able to use your card. However, if someone has just sent a long time with you, putting together a good deal so that everyone is happy and then you present your card at the end, it's a bit of an unfortunate surprise for us. The discount has to come from somewhere, and it ends up being bad for the store and the salesperson. I try to help everyone but I have been caught up by that before.

So yes, you can do that. Please don't though :)

  • Is that 50" VIVO plasma TV any good? can i trust it? thanks :)

    • I think the VIvo sets are fantastic value, and they're quite popular. I don't see us getting more returns of them versus other manufacturers. We do have a generous 14 return policy and you can always drop in and have a look at how it performs in person :) At that price its worth a looksee.

Perhaps someone who owns one might be able to give you a better idea though.

      • Thanks mate.

        Great job on the post!!!!

  • btw the catalogue is on the website:

    • That is brilliant, I'll update the link heh.
