As I have previously posted, Travala is a new startup company pushing itself as the leading Next-gen Online Travel Agency (NOTA). Although only just entering the space, it already has over 567,000 hotels in 210 countries. The website & hotel load is still in Alpha phase, but is already showing some huge savings on selected hotels. They have stated there will be another million properties added soon, so if you are searching and cannot find a specific property, or better deal than the leading websites, that is why!

Note: Although travala.com might not be the cheapest for every single hotel (I am not making that claim), it’s a brand new company where it is cheaper to book through than some of the largest booking sites in the world. **This post is specific to a handful of hotels which show genuine savings.

Pro Tip 1: Change to AUD in top right hand corner before searching.
Pro Tip 2: Search for hotels within the next 2 months of travel for a better chance of savings.

    Checked out my May booking in NZ and Expedia was cheaper. Confusing website… does not inspire confidence!

      Not sure how the site is confusing, however as I said, it's still in Alpha phase. Not all hotels are cheaper, just like Expedia isn't cheaper for every hotel. Did you follow your Expedia booking all the way through the end and calculate taxes? I've found many times they look cheaper, then when you go to pay with a CC their final price jumps up.

        It was confusing because it had two separate entries under slightly different names for the hotel I was pricing… along with different prices! Also, both entries had multiple entries for the same room type, worded slightly differently, again with different prices?!

          I find it incredibly confusing. Looking at hotels in Singapore in Nov/Dec (in AUD), typically a hotel has around 6 room types, but this site is listing 80 -100 room types. Almost impossible to compare, but when i did, travala was 30% more than the other big sites.
          I'm sure there are bargains, but i can't find any.

          Edit:- I am finding better prices upto 30 days, and getting 15-20% better. But they still have an enormous list of room types.

          If you are invested in Woolies shares, does that mean you are associated if you post a deal of $0.99 per kg bananas in store?

          I actually have Amex shares, and have posted many deals regarding Amex credit cards. Am I associated? This is no different
