    Got mine this morning, selling for $18 a bottle on makers website.

        All good mine was delivered today.
        Have to agreed with G Wok, the label is definitely gawdy. Taste wise (Shiraz), it is not an $18 bottle.

          I saw the image posted above - what were they thinking sticking that label on their plonko? Next minute it's on OzB at $5 a bottle delivered. A cleanskin would be easier on the eye.

    Got the wine today. It's from CW winery. The label is shocking. Anyone tasted it yet? I doubt anyone would buy it for $18..

    Cracked open the Shiraz
    It’s Drinkable so I’m happy
    Much better then naked wines

    Agree that the label is quite tacky. Not sure if I've been ripped off since I'm not a red wine expert. As long as it's not too tannin, I'll drink it. I'll stick to my fav Oyster Bay.

    The plonko arrived today, I am quaffing a bottle whilst watching the battle of the ferals Collingwood vs Port Adelaide.

    For a $5 bottle of wine delivered to my door half way across the country, I am content enough with the Cab Sav. I hope Skye Cellars continues to offer us such deals at a similar price point.

    Now where is the Aldi Choceur dark chocolate…..

    Hi guys. A little explanation about the label and the wine. What I was told by the winery's rep at least. The wine was a big order made by an interstate customer of theirs. They liked the wine and wanted this label on it. After they received the first lot they didn't want the rest. (I am assuming because they were not able to sell such big quantities). So the winery was stuck with a big amount of stock. They brought a sample to us. We liked the wine and we thought that at 60/dozen that would be a bargain. So we made them an offer and they accepted it. And here we are now.

Out of interest, and given the somewhat mixed views of both wines from those people who have received their deliveries, may I ask how many people from Skye Cellars actually tasted both the Shiraz and the Cab Sav? I am sure the size of your testing sample would be of interest for potential repeat customers.

    Shiraz is good value - definitely no bargain
    Cab sav is quiet ordinary
    Maybe 1-2 notches above cooking grade

    Partner and liver are happy since I won’t be drinking too much of it in a hurry

    Mine arrived today. Tried both.
    It’s not good wine
    As expected, the rrp was overly inflated. It’s not a bargain, but $5 a bottle with free shipping was reasonable.
    At least the price was cheap enough that I wouldn’t bother with returning it, though I won’t be buying anything from the seller again.

    Anyone here returned the wine? I have returned (confirmed via Auspost) but have yet to get my refund nor any indication or reply from Skye Cellar that they are processing it.

    Not sure if their highly advertised "return if not fully satisfied" is taken seriously. I'll post an update if once the refund has been received.

    I finished my case of the rosso plonko yesterday.

    Went up to my local today and bought a case of Cab Sav cleanskins for $48. Can't wait for a new deal to ever come around.
