Good call, didn't even realise b2dz posted, but seems like pricing is different across stores

      • Yeah, it's up to the manager I guess how much they discount it by :)

  • Hmm might pop in after I finish work at 5pm today! Hopefully there is stock left then :)

Looks like Coles takes out the overbought/undersold Easter stock 2019 award

Last year it was Kmart for sure.

  • I was there literally 5 hours ago, to far to go back there..

    • +1

      Literally

  • So are the supermarkets now taking easter stock off the shelf immediately after easter and then replacing the stock a little while later to increase pre easter sales?

    • Why would they sell it at a discount and then put it back in the shelf?

They want Easter products gone as quickly as possible to get back shelf space for products that people will buy.

      • I had just noticed at my local Woolies that Easter sunday morning at around 8am had zero easter egg stock left, so they either sold it down the day before or else removed from shelves… with the intention to reduce it at sale price.

My thinking was that if people know there will be no stock come easter sunday or the next few days after, then they will be more inclined to buy prior at higher prices. In the past some people waited until the sales to get the bulk of their easter chocolate.

Jeez, they're a bit early for Easter, aren't they?!

    • +1

      They're making room for Christmas!

  • If they have priced these chocolates closer to these prices in the beginning, it would have sold most of them by now and have had made more profits

    • why more profit?

      • push more sales volume instead of dumping half of them in the end

        • No point when the extra sales volume loses you money.

    • Do you really think Coles could sell them at this price and make a profit?

      They can't.

      • Of course they can’t, they made walked in not only buying the chocolate but other stuffs. Well.. only if you are kind of person only buying chocolate and never return :)

  • Greek Easter winding up now.

    Let the real bargains begin!

  • I haven’t been able to find any standard creme eggs before Easter. Let alone now!

  • Bought Lindt assorted 300g(the silver pouch) for only $0.50. Tag showed $4 but when I scanned it was only .50.

  • Oh no, gumtree here you go. Explains why they always go so quick.

    • People buy these from Gumtree?

      • Sometimes they have a bite or two taken out, but soooooo cheap!

  • Dammit! I literally bought some of those caramello eggs from target for literally $1.12 literally yesterday.

    • +3

These are literally $0.62 less. That's literally a 55.35% discount.

You can literally buy 20 bags for the same price as 9 with the price you paid.

    • liter bugz

  • Both local Coles stores surprisingly had no Easter Eggs left as of yesterday. Local Target included too. A shame Rhodes is too far for me

  • As of 930pm there were only bags of the Caramello easter eggs left. I bought all the mixed bags myself muahahahaha!!! I hope they restock tomorrow!!

Only Red Tulip Elegant Rabbits at Coles Norton St (Leichhardt/Syd). $1.50 too. That's 3x the Rhodes price. Dammit!

Where are my 20c Humpties with the smarties inside??

  • My coles on had the bunny choc biscuits left for 10 cents which were reg 1 dollars and gave 20 cents of it to charity so it said on the wrapper. Possible weren't worth 10 cents from the taste.
