Good little speaker! Also limited stock available in blue.

  • Have owned this speaker for 6 months now and can honestly say it's very good for its size. Reaching its maximum audio output rather quickly would be its only downfall in my eyes, though it still gets rather loud but maybe not loud enough for a party scenario but perfect for small gatherings or personal use, such as shower time.

    • Yep I use this as my shower speaker. Audio quality is acceptable but nowhere near as good as my SoundLink Mini. For $80 it's worth it.

  • better sound than google home mini?

      HEAPS better

      • Thanks

Tried these the other day at JB, better than UE Boom.

    • really?

      • +1

Yep. UE Boom is probably louder, but this has a much more coloured, meatier sound (which is something you'd want in a speaker of this type).

I use them outside, so they're great for that.

        • its not all about loudness. I prefer sound quality over loudness. Ill give this a try based on your experience.
What about the wonderboom? Is this Mini bose still better?

  • How does this compare with the JBL Flip 4 which Myer has for the same price?

    • +1

I would choose the JBL Flip 4 purely for sound quality, this is an ultra-portable speaker though and perfect for throwing into an overnight bag etc.

  • has anyone tried to price-match in-store?

  • This vs the UE Boom 3?

    • UE Boom

  • Got one, thanks :-)

I suggest try the bose speakers vs UE vs JBL vs Sony at JB HiFi.
I find the JBL sound the best. Bose speakers struggle at high volumes i.e. the model in this deal and the one priced above this. I was surprised that JBL performed so much better than Bose.
A lot has been written about UE on Ozb.
Sony speakers sound great too. There are some good discounts on them, quite often.

  • How come the promo code doesn't work for me? It says "This code can't be applied to your order."

    • i checked and is working for me.

Thank you. I tried again on incognito and worked!

  • Two Bose micro speakers for $160 is better

    • I realised why people don’t hear them with amazing quality.
First you need two speakers, then they need to be about 85cm away from each other both pointing upwards, finally you need to be about 80cm from them like a triangle. Somewhere around there is a extreme sweet spot…where you hear the the voice in front of you between speakers and musical instruments on left and right speaker.
Hmm I guess this is more technical than most people like. But it’s like setting up Hi-Fi speakers. You need to find sweet spot.

But if you have them not like a equal triangle or similar, the sound isn’t amazing. It is good but not amazing.

      • If you have two Bose micro speakers. Please try this and let us know what you think.
